Last weekend Burg had our Annual ‘Burg Day’ - a celebration of our founding.

Starting bright and early before dawn, after a lot of foam, chalk and dubious activities, the college was sound asleep by midday.

Special mention to Charlotte and the committee for organising such an amazing day!

Last weekend we had our annual Family Weekend and what a weekend it was!

Kicked off with an incredible gallery of artworks from resident artists on Friday, a sunny game of lawnballs on Saturday and then the Gala dinner later that night. We couldn’t have asked for anything better.

Congratulations to VPs Caity and Gretel for organising an amazing weekend and for for allowing us to support such an incredible charity.

A little over ten years ago, we gained so much more than a colleague — we gained the heartbeat behind everything that keeps this College running. From balancing the books to holding the institutional memory of this place, she is the one who makes the complex look effortless and the impossible look routine.

She is our brains trust, our financial compass and the steady hand behind the scenes that so many never see but everyone benefits from.

Thank you for ten incredible years of wisdom, dedication, and care. This College is better in every way because of you. Here’s to celebrating Nerrida. 💛💙

On the 7th of May ANU hosted its annual ‘Big Night Out.’

After delivering an incredible performance in a Battle of the Bands type competition that made all 2000 spectators dance, Burgmann came away with second place!!!

BURG ARE WINNERS 🏆🏆

Last weekend we had the annual Road Relay. Against every college’s team of 4 runners for each 1.5k and 3k leg of the dash, Burg proved victorious! The clear margin was a testament to the past term of intense training.

Congrats Lily, Huntos, Jasper and the rest of the team for securing this years first of many interhall victories.
