Extending from Pambula on the south coast, to Crookwell in the North, through to the western point of Lake Cargelligo, the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn covers both the ACT and NSW, a total of 88,000 square kilometres (3 times larger than Tasmania). The Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn is unique in Australia in that it is the only Diocese to cross State/Territory boundaries. There are 56 Catholic Schools and 7 Early Learning Centres in our Archdiocese, educating more then 20,059 students. We have 1,321 teachers and a Catholic Education Office of 75 staff members who support these schools.
