Some of our Year 5 students had a great time at CRU Fit meeting with other CRU groups from Macarthur Anglican, Southern Highlands, Leppington Anglican, Oran Park Anglican, Thomas Hassall and Broughton Anglican College.

The students looked at the story Jesus told of the Good Samaritan found in Luke chapter 10.
The main point being, that God calls us to love God and love one another. Through games and group activities the students were encouraged to know God through reading God's Word and how to practically choose to live God's ways in our school and at home.

Our St Peter's students were thoroughly entertained today by the wonderful Dan Warlow, who had everyone singing along to songs about being strong and courageous!

Alongside the fun and music, students were reminded of an important truth from God’s Word in Philippians 4:6–7:
"Do not worry about anything, but pray about everything..."

What a wonderful reminder for our students that when we feel worried or uncertain, we can turn to God in prayer, knowing that His peace is with us.

A big thank you to Dan for sharing such an encouraging and joyful message with our students!

🎼📚 Literature Day 2026: Symphony of Stories 📚🎼

Our school came alive with imagination, creativity and a love of reading during our Literature Day and Book Character Parade. From beloved classics to modern favourites, students and staff proudly showcased an incredible array of literary characters, reminding us of the power of stories to inspire, connect and enrich our lives.

A huge thank you to our families and community for supporting this special day. Together, we raised $630 to purchase books for Intumbane, helping to share the joy of reading beyond our own school.

What a fantastic celebration of literature and generosity. Every story matters, and together we've added another beautiful note to our Symphony of Stories.

Today we acknowledge and celebrate our Principal, Mrs Michelle McDonnell.

We are incredibly grateful to have a leader who cares so deeply that every student is seen, valued and experiences a genuine sense of belonging. Mrs McDonnell leads with dedication and an unwavering commitment to ensuring every child experiences the love of Jesus, flourishes in their learning, and is empowered to discover and pursue their unique gifts and passions. Our students have contributed to a lovely display of kind words which has decorated her office.

Happy Australian Principal's Day, Mrs McDonnell. Thank you for your vision, your support and the positive difference you make in the lives of our students, staff and families each and every day. We are proud to celebrate the exceptional leader you are and the lasting impact you have on our school community.

Yesterday our Durham Captains chose to organise a m***i day in their colour of YELLOW to raise money for the Kids of Macarthur Health Foundation. Over $700 was raised for this wonderful organisation that supports 'kids like us'. We are so grateful to have a generous community!
Well done St Peter's!

CASSA Zone Carnival!

A sprint here, a throw there and some great leaps - St Peter’s students enjoyed the athletic stage at the CSSA South Met Zone Carnival. They represented themselves well in character and on the playing field. Mackenzie K and Lachlan S etched their names into the record books, and we are thrilled to be sending four students to the State Carnival in a couple of weeks. Congratulations to all of our students on their efforts today!

100 Days of Kindergarten!

Kindergarten had a fantastic time celebrating 100 days of learning, laughter and growth. Students arrived dressed as adorable old people, complete with grey hair, glasses and walking sticks, bringing plenty of smiles to the day.

As part of the celebration, students reflected on all they have learned and achieved during their first 100 days of school. They participated in a variety of fun, hands-on activities centred around the number 100, including counting, creating, building and problem-solving challenges.

Students enjoyed cupcakes and special treats as they celebrated this exciting milestone together. It was a joyful day filled with learning, creativity and lots of fun!

Year 6 Camp 2026!

Our Year 6 students had an incredible week on camp last week - filled with learning, discovery and adventure!

Students explored many significant attractions, including the Australian War Memorial, Parliament House, the Museum of Australian Democracy (MOAD), Geoscience Australia, the National Educational Experience Centre (NEEC), and the National Dinosaur Museum. A highlight for many was spending a day in the snow at Perisher, where students embraced new experiences and made lasting memories with their peers.

We are exceptionally proud of the way our Year 6 students represented our school. Their enthusiasm, engagement and curiosity were evident at every location, with students asking thoughtful questions and making meaningful connections to their classroom learning. Equally impressive were their behaviour, respect and maturity throughout the week. They consistently demonstrated our school values and received positive feedback from staff and venue presenters alike.

Thank you to our staff for making this wonderful experience possible. We know the memories and learning from this camp will stay with our students for many years to come!
