Class Artwork Auction for a Cause!
Our students have come together to create beautiful canvas artworks, with every child contributing to their class masterpiece. These one-of-a-kind pieces are now being auctioned in our school community to raise funds for the Intumbane School Hall - our sister school in South Africa.
This is a special opportunity for our whole community to be involved, celebrate student creativity and support an important project that will benefit many.
Well done St Peter's students!

Year 6 Open Classrooms!
What a fantastic turnout for our Year 6 Open Classroom last week! Parents stepped into the world of Australian democracy as they joined us for our exciting Castaway Island Election. Students confidently canvassed voters shared their party policies and values, and showcased their persuasive political commercials to win support.
Once the campaigning was over, it was off to the polls, where our dedicated voting officials ensured a fair and smooth election process, just like the real thing! The only thing missing was the traditional sausage sizzle afterwards.
A huge thank you to all the parents who came along to support and celebrate the incredible learning and effort our Year 6 students have put into understanding democracy in Australia. We can’t wait to count the votes, form Parliament and continue our journey by learning how a Bill becomes a law!

Today our amazing Year 1 students had a whole day of Inquiry learning as part of their current unit on how God created humans to be connected. Students came to school dressed as their favourite Community Helper and talked about who they were with their peers. We were impressed with their creativity and commitment!
They participated in different group activities throughout the day, celebrating active citizenship, discussing different roles people play in the communities they are a part of, and designing their own communities. We even had a parent visitor from Whiddon Aged Care share with us how they work each day to help elderly people get housing.
What a great day!

Year 3 Camp Adventure!
Our Year 3 students have had an unforgettable overnight camp filled with excitement, challenge, and growth! From scaling heights on the rock climbing wall, testing their focus with archery, to speeding along on BMX bikes, every moment has been packed with fun and achievement.
As the sun set, students enjoyed a magical night walk, followed by a cozy bonfire complete with marshmallows - a perfect way to end a big day of adventure.
For many of our students, this was their first time away from home, and we couldn’t be prouder of the courage and independence they demonstrated. It’s been wonderful to see friendships grow, confidence build, and so many smiling faces along the way.
Our teachers are just as proud, watching students step outside their comfort zones and support one another has been truly special.
What an amazing experience for our Year 3 campers!

Year One Open Classrooms!
Our Year 1 students were delighted to welcome parents and carers into their classrooms yesterday afternoon!
As part of our Inquiry unit exploring how God created humans to be connected, we’ve begun learning about how traditions and celebrations help build a shared sense of identity. The students investigated the meaning of tradition and shared their knowledge of the many ways people celebrate across different cultures and families.
They loved reflecting on their own favourite family traditions and even imagining some new ones they’d like to start!
We are so grateful to all the family members who joined us and supported this special learning experience. We encourage our students to keep these meaningful conversations going at home, celebrating the traditions that connect us all.

National Simultaneous Storytime!
On Wednesday our P-2 students participated in National Simultaneous Storytime at 12pm. Along with children all around the country, we listened to Luna Roo, the Kangaroo Baller by Adam Jackson, Adrian Lloyd and Jake A Minot. The story ends with the line "So next time someone doubts you or you feel you don't belong, muster all your inner strength and prove that someone wrong." Students then participated in different literacy activities to celebrate their own strengths. We love reading Australian books at St Peter's!
