And that's a wrap on our 7th Business Services work placement hub for the year!
So what did we get up to for the end of the week we hear you ask? Let's find out!

🔹Thursday, students had the opportunity to spend some time with Tia from WOTSO Macarthur Square, who introduced them to the world of coworking spaces. Tia also shared her insights into business administration roles and highlighted how the skills our students are developing today can be transferable to a wide range of future career pathways. As always thanks for having us Tia!

🔸Friday saw our students put the finishing touches on their Camp Quality Fun Day presentations before proudly sharing their ideas with the MWLP team. It was a great opportunity for the students to showcase their project work and demonstrate the communication skills that they had been working on throughout the week.

We’ll be taking a short break from hubs over the next couple of weeks before heading into our final hub for the term. Keep an eye on our socials to see what we get up to!

Recently, Harriette completed her Entertainment work placement with Oz Funland! We spoke with the hosts, who provided amazing feedback about Harriette and shared how much they enjoyed having her as part of the team for the week.

It was wonderful to hear that she settled in so well, enjoyed the experience, and made the most of her time at Oz Funland!

Students are completing a Certificate III in Financial Services (Accounts Administration) and need real-work experience!

Students come to you when YOU want, and are committed to 35 hours over one full-time week. It's FREE and students are covered by all the relevant insurances!

How is it Thursday already?! 🤯

It’s been another busy week here at MWLP HQ, with our latest Business Services Work Placement Hub in full swing!

Let’s take a look at what the students have been up to so far…

🔸 Monday kicked things off with icebreaker activities, giving everyone the chance to get to know each other before diving into planning their group projects.

🔹 Tuesday was all about career preparation! Kirryn from My Gateway joined us for a fantastic careers workshop, where students worked on their resumes, explored why cover letters are important, and learnt how to make a great first impression in an interview. Thanks for stopping by Kirryn!

🔸 Wednesday was website day! Students spent the day creating websites for their Camp Quality projects, putting their creativity and new skills into action.

And that brings us to today, with another busy day of business-focused activities designed to put the students’ skills to the test! Stay tuned to see what the students get up to next! 👀

Last Friday, we wrapped up Business Services Hub #2 for the term (Hub #6 for the year so far) — and what an amazing week it was! 🎉

Students kicked off Wednesday by building some incredible websites, then spent Thursday working on their Camp Quality slideshows and putting their pitching skills to the test with games like The 5 Minute Pitch.

On Friday, we hopped on the train to North Sydney, where students had the opportunity to present their Family Fun Day ideas to the team at Camp Quality. It was fantastic to see their creativity, confidence and teamwork come together!

A huge well done to all of our students for another fantastic week! 👏

Today is the second day of this week's Business Services hub at our Campbelltown office.

Over the past two days, students have been working on their Camp Quality project plan, learning how to conduct a risk assessment, creating social media posts, and participated in a careers workshop with Emma from My Gateway.

Tomorrow they'll get stuck into the next phase of their projects - website building! Stay tuned for more updates as the week goes on...

Last week we hosted our first business services hub for term 3 and it was such a busy week that we didn't have time to post about it!

So let's catch you up now...

🔸Once again we split the students into groups to work on a special project across the week for Camp Quality. They put their business admin skills to the test creating event plans, budgets, risk assessments, websites and presentations. It was great to see them step out of their comfort zone to present these ideas to Mel at Camp Quality on Friday.

🔸Emma from My Gateway took the students through a careers workshop where the students took home valuable skills for future employment opportunities. Thanks again Emma for your time!

🔹Sarina and the community team from Soon MP office conducted a workshop on democracy, with the students bringing a number of great ideas to the table on ways to become involved with the community. We love being able to have this workshop at our north hubs - thanks again Sarina!

Another successful week if we do say so ourselves!
