Low awareness can be lethal
Alarming new research has revealed about 70 per cent of Australians don’t know the signs and symptoms of prostate cancer, prompting Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia to call for greater public investment in targeted community awareness activities.

Studies show that not all high-grade prostate cancers are the same. A recent study of Gleason grade 5 prostate cancers found that different patterns of gene expression made some cancers more aggressive than others. 🤔🧐
It's an important finding that may contribute to different treatments for subgroups of prostate cancers - enabling clinicians to intensify treatment for more deadly types of the disease. 💙👍

Hope for men with high-risk non-metastatic hormone resistant prostate cancer
In one giant leap for advanced prostate cancer, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has this week approved two new PARP inhibitors for the treatment of metastatic castrate resistant prostate cancers which have specific genetic mutations.

Hi everyone
With many of us now working from home or remaining at home due to COVID19 there is opportunity to complete the online survey for the Out With Cancer Study.
Some of the feedback from those completing this study has include some confusion with clicking on the link and seeing a button for interview and not the survey. If you click on the link and do not see the survey button it will appear as the banner scrolls.
Also, please ask your support people to complete the survey as well. It is the same link but support people (biological family, chosen family, friends, colleagues) just follow the carer pathway.
