🏈 It's game day 🏈
Our 16s team will travel from Airds HS to Mitchell HS at 11.30am this morning. We have been advised that no spectators are permitted to watch this game as it is on High School grounds and that is their policy. It is anticipated that the 16s will arrive back to Airds HS at around 4.15pm - please watch this post for updates to times.
Unfortunately we received confirmation this morning that Mitchell HS has forfeited for the OPENS match. This means our seniors will stay at SCHOOL today. This should leave our Seniors team at the top of the table after round 2 🎉
Revised training schedule has also been sent out through schoolbytes. Please return this as soon as possible or contact the school if you are having difficulties doing so.

🚧 Temporary Riverside Drive Student Access Gate 🚧
To support safe student access during the upcoming Riverside Drive road closures, Airds High School has installed a temporary pedestrian access gate near the Apex Petrol Station.
📍 Access Point
The gate is located along the school fence closest to Apex Petrol Station on Riverside Drive.
🕗 Gate Opening Times
• Open each morning from approximately 8:20am
• Locked at 9:00am
• Reopened again at the conclusion of the school day
This temporary access point has been established to assist students who normally walk from the Riverside Drive area while major road and infrastructure works are underway.
Please note:
⚠️ Riverside Drive will be closed to all traffic, pedestrians and cyclists between Apex Petrol Station and Briar Rd during the construction period.
⚠️ The main school entrance located on Briar Road remains fully open and operational throughout the roadworks period.
⚠️ Parents/carers wishing to access the Front Office, attend meetings, or collect their child during the school day must continue to enter via the main Briar Rd gate, as the temporary Riverside Drive gate is to assist students to arrive and depart school whilst reducing the impact of the roadworks on their journey.
⚠️ Students and families should allow extra travel time and follow all detour signage in the area.
⚠️ Students should use designated pedestrian pathways and remain alert around construction zones.
