Future Health Leaders!

We proudly celebrate NASCA students Eliza Burke, Georgia Curran-Connolly and Tunka Cohen, who successfully completed an intensive eight-day Health and Community Workshop.

Delivered in partnership with South Western Sydney Local Health District and TAFE NSW Macquarie Fields, the pilot program allowed students to explore career pathways in nursing, allied health, dental health, administration and further education.

Through hands-on learning and industry experience, the students developed valuable knowledge, practical skills and confidence to support their future goals.

Congratulations, Eliza, Georgia and Tunka, on this outstanding achievement!

Excellence Beyond Airds!

Success does not end at the gates of Airds High School, it continues through the pathways our students pursue and the futures they create.

We proudly celebrate former Airds High School student Benjamin Varu, who graduated from Western Sydney University this year with a Bachelor of Design (Visual Communication).

Benjamin is now pursuing his passion as a graphic designer. You can view some of his creative work on Instagram at .varu.

Curators of Ancient Egypt!

Students stepped into the role of museum curators, learning how objects are selected for an exhibition before using airbrushing techniques to prepare their own Ancient Egyptian-inspired artefacts.

Thank you to our librarian, Mr Staats, for sharing his expertise, and to classroom teacher Mr Hill for creating this engaging, hands-on learning experience.

Mathematics in Action!

Our Senior Mathematics students were rewarded for their positive application to learning throughout the year with an exciting excursion to Luna Park Sydney. Students took mathematics beyond the classroom by exploring real-world concepts through rides, budgeting, measurement, data collection and problem-solving.

Back in the classroom, Mathematics Standard 2 students investigated exponential growth and decay through a hands-on M&M modelling activity. By collecting, graphing and analysing data, students strengthened their skills in mathematical modelling and prediction while exploring how exponential relationships appear in everyday situations.

A fantastic example of our students engaging with mathematics in practical, meaningful and enjoyable ways!

The HSC Trial Examinations commence on Monday 17 August 2026, Term 3, Week 5.

Year 12 students are reminded to carefully check the timetable for their examination dates, starting times and locations. Students must arrive at least 30 minutes before each examination, wearing full school uniform and bringing the required equipment.

If students have any questions, please speak with the relevant classroom teacher.
