Tonight we want to recognise Lachie and tell him how proud we are of him.
Lachie stepped into the ring at the Open amateur Muay Thai competition and got the win. He showed heart, courage, composure, and real fighting spirit, and he represented our gym with class from start to finish.
Unfortunately, despite winning, Lachie was unable to continue in the tournament due to circumstances outside his control. That part is incredibly disappointing, but what matters most is that he showed up, did the work, got the result, and made us all proud.
Lachie, please know your whole gym is behind you. We care about you, we respect the way you carried yourself, and we’re proud of the fighter and person you are. Hold your head high, champ — you earned that win and no one can take that away from you.

A big congratulations to Dokmaipa on winning his ONE Lumpinee debut last night.
For a fighter coming from the small Santi Ubon Gym in the countryside of northeast Thailand, this is such a proud moment and a beautiful reminder that greatness can rise from the most humble beginnings.
Gen also trained under Santi Ubon many years ago, so this win carries special meaning for us. Proud of Dokmaipa, proud of Khru Santi, and proud to see the hard work of the gym recognised on such a big stage.

At Hongthong Muay Thai, we never walk this path alone.
Huge thank you to Sia Neng Singhamavin and the former fighters from Wansongchai Battle, Hong Thong Noi Sanchai Gym, Nam Sak Noi Yuttakan Kathorn and Kao Lan Kao Wichit for their generosity in supporting our Melbourne branch with training equipment and ongoing friendship.
Gen’s journey has always been bigger than one gym or one city. From Chiang Mai to Bangkok, Australia and beyond, he has spent decades building real relationships with Golden Era champions, top Thai gyms and serious fighters who recognise his experience as a former Thailand and Lumpinee champion and trust him to represent authentic Muay Thai wherever he goes.
Our standards are simple: old‑school Thai values, respect for teachers, loyalty to the gym and gratitude to those who open their doors and share their knowledge. Not everyone understands or lives by these values, but the people who matter always do.
We are proud to stay in our lane – working hard, training real Muay Thai and investing our time and energy into students and partners all over the world who show heart, respect and honesty inside and outside the ring.
Thank you to everyone, here in Melbourne and internationally, who continues to support Gen and Hongthong Muay Thai Australia. Your loyalty means more than you know, and we will keep giving you the best of our knowledge, experience and love for Muay Thai every single day.
