At Goodstart Cameron Park, keeping children safe is at the heart of everything we do.
We are committed to creating safe, inclusive and welcoming environments where every child feels safe, heard, valued and supported. We believe every child has the right to feel safe, have their voice heard and know that their feelings and needs matter.
Our preschool children recently spent some time talking about what makes them feel safe and sharing their thoughts through expressive drawing and group discussions. These experiences help us understand what safety means to our children and how we can continue to support them.
As educators, it is our responsibility to listen to children, respect their voices and make decisions that always put their best interests first. We are committed to following best practice, working closely with families and continuing to reflect on how we can provide the safest environments for every child.
Because keeping children safe is important, but helping children feel safe is just as important.
