🌼 Week 7 at Active OOSH Cameron Park!

Spring has officially sprung, and we’re celebrating with a week full of creativity, connection, wellbeing, learning and outdoor fun.

Our OOSHies will be exploring all things spring and Australian wildlife, with activities including Wattle Bubble Wrap Painting, Flying Bee Crafts, Grow a Rainbow, Bubble Painting, Paper Bag Kites and plenty of fun outdoor games.

Our OOSH Clubhouses are also back in action, with Kid’s Kitchen Rules, Garden Growers, Community Culture Club, Fix N Flip and STEM Club providing opportunities for children to learn, create and connect.

We’ll also be celebrating National Wattle Day on 1 September and National Wildlife Day on 4 September, while keeping our Core Value of Ella Earth at the heart of our week.

Thank you for inviting us be apart of such a special day of the school year ✨📚

Once again, a HUGE thank you to everyone who donated to and purchased from our bake sale today! 💙💛

We had a phenomenal amount of donations and were absolutely blown away by the number of families who came out to support our school. 🥹

Today, we have raised approximately $1,250 from our bake sale! 🎉 Every dollar will go towards purchasing new laptops for our students. We still have a way to go to reach our full fundraising goal, but what an incredible start! 💻👏

A MASSIVE thank you to Active OOSH- Cameron Park for once again showing up for our kids and supporting our P&C today. They generously ran the stall, allowing our P&C volunteers the opportunity to step away and watch their own children take part in the Book Week parade. ❤️

We are immensely grateful for this incredible team who continue to show up for our school and community time and time again.
We truly appreciate you!

A big thank you also goes to our amazing Edgeworth Heights Public School staff and teachers who jumped in to help when the lines started building up.

Have some toys or games at home that are no longer getting any love? We’d happily give them a new home at OOSH! 🧸

We’re seeking donations of board games, Barbies, dinosaurs, LEGO, cars, dolls or anything else play-related.
We just ask that all donated items are clean, safe and in good condition.

Donations can be dropped directly to the service.

BOOK WEEK AT ACTIVE OOSH! 📚🌱

Yesterday, some of our little OOSHies got their hands dirty with a gardening experience inspired by The Lorax by Dr. Seuss! 🌳🧡

Just like the Lorax speaks for the trees, our OOSHies spent the afternoon planting and caring for our garden, learning about the importance of looking after our environment along the way.

It was the perfect way to bring one of our favourite stories to life and kick off our Book Week themed program!

It’s Week 6 and it's all about BOOK WEEK at Active OOSH Cameron Park! 📖💙

This week, we’re encouraging our children and young people to explore the magic of books through creativity, connection, wellbeing and plenty of hands-on fun! 🌈

🌿 Nature Experiences: Outdoor reading groups, bird nest builders, treasure hunts, yoga, and dreamcatchers
🎨 Indoor Experiences: Flying books, Rainbow Fish creations, Dr Seuss balloon fun, bookmarks and The Lorax sensory bins!
🏃‍♀️ Outdoor Fun: Ship, Shore, Sea, AFL, basketball, Keepy-Uppy and Kids Olympics
👩‍🍳 OOSH Clubhouse: Kid’s Kitchen Rules, Garden Growers, Community Culture Club, Fix N Flip and STEM Club

📚 Our Yarning Circle conversations will get us thinking about why reading is important, what we love about books, how stories make us feel and, of course, our favourite Book Week costumes!

💙 Core Value Focus: Wellbeing — supporting children to feel connected, confident, engaged and ready to learn.

Plus, this Thursday we will join most of our schools in our dress up for Book Week Parade! Excited to see all those creative costumes
