On Wednesday, we celebrated the incredible educators who make Little Skool such a special place.

Our educators bring so much love, patience, care and dedication to our children each and every day. From the cuddles and comforting moments to the learning, laughter and milestones, we are so grateful for the difference they make in the lives of our little people. ✨

We loved being able to spoil our beautiful team with a special gift and lunch as a small way of saying a very BIG thank you for everything they do. 💐

We would also like to say a heartfelt thank you to our beautiful families for the warm words of appreciation, thoughtful messages and special gifts our educators received. We were even treated to some beautiful home-baked goodies! 🥹🧁 Your kindness and generosity meant so much to our team,m and we truly appreciate you taking the time to make our educators feel so loved and valued.

Our preschool children recently enjoyed a fantastic visit from Surf Life Saving NSW, where they explored essential beach safety skills through interactive storytelling, engaging discussions and hands-on experiences.

The children learnt why it’s important to always swim between the red and yellow flags, how to recognise a surf lifesaver, what to do if they need help at the beach and how everyone can help keep themselves and others safe around the water. They loved dressing up as surf lifesavers, exploring real rescue equipment and participating in activities that brought these important safety messages to life.

A huge thank you to Surf Life Saving NSW for delivering such an engaging and educational session. Experiences like these help children develop the knowledge and confidence they need to stay safe while enjoying Australia’s beautiful beaches.

As part of the session, we were also introduced to the Beachsafe App. We encourage you to download it before your next trip to the beach, as it provides up-to-date information on patrolled beaches, beach conditions, weather and surf forecasts, local facilities and safety advice helping you make informed decisions and enjoy a safer day by the water 🌊❤️

At Little Skool, our children immersed themselves in meaningful experiences celebrating the cultures, histories and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Through storytelling, sensory play, art, music, books and hands-on learning experiences, the children explored Indigenous perspectives in engaging and age-appropriate ways. They discovered native Australian animals, expressed their creativity through collaborative artwork, and enjoyed invitations to play that encouraged curiosity, respect and connection.

Our collaborative handprint tree beautifully represents the importance of community, with every child’s contribution coming together to create something special.

We are proud to provide opportunities that foster respect, inclusion and an appreciation for the world’s oldest continuing cultures, helping children build understanding and meaningful connections from an early age.

Thank you to our wonderful educators for creating rich learning experiences that inspire curiosity, celebrate culture and support every child’s sense of belonging.

Our children recently enjoyed a wonderful floral incursion, where they explored the beauty of flowers through all of their senses. They had the opportunity to touch, smell and learn about a variety of different flowers while discovering their colours, textures and unique characteristics.

With the guidance of our special guest, each child carefully selected their own blooms to create a beautiful bouquet. They also learnt the special skill of making a fluffy decorative bow to complete their arrangement, giving them a wonderful sense of pride and achievement.

Experiences like these encourage creativity, build fine motor skills, spark curiosity about the natural world and create meaningful hands-on learning opportunities. It was a joy to watch the children’s confidence grow as they proudly showed off their beautiful creations. 💐✨

🚦 FREE Professional Development Opportunity for Early Childhood Educators! 🚦

Little Skool Early Education Centre is excited to be hosting Kids and Traffic’s An Early Childhood Framework for Road Safety Education workshop.

This engaging 2-hour professional learning session will provide practical ideas and strategies to help educators embed road safety into everyday learning, support children’s understanding of safe travel and strengthen partnerships with families and the community.

This workshop is open to educators from all early childhood services, however places are limited to just 30 participants, so bookings are essential.

Our Little Skool community came together for Pyjama Week and we’re so pleased to share that we raised $65 for The Pyjama Foundation.

The Pyjama Foundation provides learning, mentoring and educational support to children in foster care, helping them build confidence, improve literacy and reach their full potential.

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful families for supporting this meaningful cause by wearing their pyjamas and making a donation. Your generosity and kindness will make a positive difference in the lives of children who need it most.

A huge thank you to our incredible Little Skool families for your kindness and generosity in supporting our baby wrap donation drive.

We had the privilege of delivering all of the donated muslin and cotton wraps to the Special Care Nursery at Campbelltown Hospital, where they will help provide comfort and care for newborn babies and their families during a very special time.

Our Kangaroo children also created a beautiful handmade card filled with love and thoughtful artwork to accompany the donation. We hope it brings a smile to the faces of the wonderful staff caring for these precious babies!

Community kindness is something we value deeply at Little Skool and we are so proud to share this experience with our children, helping them learn about empathy, generosity and making a positive difference in the lives of others.

This week at Little Skool, we are focusing on helping children build lifelong road safety awareness through meaningful conversations, experiences and family partnerships. ❤️

To support learning beyond our service, every enrolled child will receive a Road Safety Pack including:
👨‍👩‍👧 Information and guidance for families and carers (birth–5 years)
⭐ Stickers and resources
🚗 Practical road safety tips to support safe habits at home and in the community

Together, we can empower children to become confident, aware and safe road users from an early age. Because safe roads start with us. 💛
