Adventure Alternatives Inspiring authentic connections through adventures in nature for students and teachers. We want to help people Grow

Our aim is to inspire individuals to guide their own learning, to challenge their concept of the norm, expand their comfort zone and challenge their beliefs of their ability and that of other’s. We want individuals to explore, discover and marvel at the environment we adventure in and find comfort in the unknown and the unfamiliar through their own discovery. We achieve this through Outdoor Education, a platform which allows individuals to explore and discover aspects of their own personal development through adventure based activities in a natural environment. These experiences are delivered in a manner, which best matches the needs of the individual groups with age appropriate activities. During these experiences they will be exposed to an array of experiential adventure based activities which will push their comfort zone, will make them laugh… and cry, will challenge their resilience and will encourage their independence and interdependence.

Equipped Outdoors Outdoor Education Award

Adventure Alternatives has built a reputation for safe, inclusive and outcomes-focused outdoor education. With an exemplary safety record and a strong culture of staff ownership and mentorship, the organisation designs tailored programs that build resilience, teamwork and environmental awareness, helping participants of all backgrounds grow in confidence within supportive outdoor settings.

Berrinba East State School has transformed learning for every student from Prep to Year 6 by reimagining the outdoors as a curriculum in its own right. Its Outdoor Play and Learning program has delivered remarkable results, lifting academic achievement while dramatically reducing behavioural incidents. This program was recognised nationally with the 2026 Sydney Opera House Play Award.

Total Adventures has spent over twenty years shaping confident young Australians through adventure, from its base on the Noosa North Shore situated between bushland, river and beach. Welcoming nearly 12,000 students annually, the organisation blends Indigenous perspectives, environmental science and leadership development, delivering inclusive, curriculum-aligned programs with a consistently strong safety record.
