We’re hiring a Guitar Teacher for Group Classes to start term 3, 2026.
Applications close Fri 19 June.
• Wed from 4.45pm (possibly 4pm), during term time.
• Ages mostly 4-11yrs, possibly some adults
• Camberwell
We offer small group (maximum 6) classes using the innovative Guitar Stars Group Guitar program, which is used in the USA, UK and around Australia. Differentiation is built into the provided materials, so there's a "good fit" version of every song for every student. The curriculum, lesson plans, games, resources, etc., are all provided, so there is very minimal lesson prep.
The School manages all administration, marketing, and enquiries, so you only need to focus on teaching.
We value providing our students with fun, engaging lessons; you should love creating a fun and inclusive atmosphere, prioritising engagement and enjoyment, and feel comfortable engaging young children. There’s also scope for you to teach other instruments or voice.
About you
• Love interacting with kids and can develop a great rapport with them
• Interested in how Music can be delivered in a Group setting and happy to learn more
• Some ability to read music (advanced sight reading is not required, but you do need some level of reading ability. Guitar materials are provided in both standard notation and Tab, with practice videos of all songs.)
Casual position. Pay rate based on qualifications and experience. Superannuation is paid.
