All proceeds from the day go to our Equity Scholarship Fund, directly helping students who may not otherwise have the opportunity to access a Siena education. Today Siena College staff and students celebrated Wear it Purple Day, a day founded to champion safe and inclusive spaces for all young people. By wearing purple, we show our commitment to creating a school community where everyone feels valued, respected and able to be themselves.

This year’s Wear It Purple Day Theme is ‘Colours of Courage’ and reminds us that courage is not just expressed in big moments, but in everyday choices to live proudly and invite others into understanding, acceptance and celebration.

Year 10 student, Shehrbano J and Year 8 student, Sienna W took part in the Hawthorn Voices of a Generation public speaking competition, joining students from across Hawthorn and Camberwell to share their ideas and perspectives on an important question: "What kind of digital future do you want young people to inherit?" John Pesutto Boroondara Life

The competition provided an opportunity for students to explore the opportunities and challenges technology will bring to the next generation and share their vision for the future. Well done to Shehrbano and Sienna for having the confidence to share their voices and contribute to this important conversation.

Last week, the Siena community gathered together at St Dominic’s Church for the Feast of St Dominic on Friday, followed by a Centenary Celebration on Sunday to mark one hundred years since the arrival of the first Dominican Sisters in Camberwell on 12 August 1926. More than two hundred parishioners, past and present College staff, family and friends joined us to honour this significant milestone and celebrate the enduring Dominican presence in our community.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Fr Dom Murphy OP, Fr Paul Rankin OP and Fr Kevin Toomey OP for leading our Eucharistic celebrations, and to our student choir and musicians for enriching both occasions with their beautiful music.
