Our Philosophy


Tanya’s Family Day Care aims to provide childcare of the highest quality which allows every child to grow and develop to the best of their physical, mental and emotional potential within a safe, secure and comfortable family environment.
I will provide quality home based care which meets the Principles of Belonging, Being & Becoming: The Early Years Learning Framework for, Family Day Care Quality Standard and the policies of Passionate Minds Family Day Care Service.
I believe that each child is an individual and as an educator I will value and develop each child's strengths, interests, skills, abilities and knowledge to extend their learning.
I believe all children are unique and all will grow and develop differently. Individualised programs will ensure each child has equal opportunities to participate and grow within a friendly, all-inclusive and non-judgemental environment.
I believe that the early years is an important part of a child’s development in which children should be able to take calculated risks and learn from mistakes allowing them to develop resilience grow to be strong independent individuals.
I believe that children learn through play and children benefit from indoor and outdoor environments in which they are able to explore, experiment and use their imaginations. This is why my program focuses strongly on play base learning.
Most importantly I believe that children should be allowed to be CHILDREN. Splashing in muddy puddles; playing in water; getting dirty; giggles and laughter; playing with others or enjoying solitude; happiness and sadness; singing and dancing; adventures and dreams should be a part of every child’s life.
