It’s a great exercise in precision, attention to detail, and building confidence with hand tools. Skills that will serve them well in the trade. 👊

🔨 The frame went up last week... now it's time to bring the inside to life! 🏗️
Our Construction team is now tackling the Plastering Unit as part of their Certificate II in Construction course. From framing to fit-out, students are gaining hands on experience and developing the practical skills needed for a career in the building industry.
It's great to see the project taking shape as the team works through the next stage of construction, learning industry techniques and building confidence along the way. 👏
📢 A reminder for students with outstanding work experience hours: The course is drawing to a close soon after the September school holidays. If you haven't secured an employer placement yet, now is the time to get it sorted. Completing your workplace hours is a crucial requirement of converting your learning to in industry practice.

Today, our electrical students were out in the field trenching and installing conduit, threading cables ready for placement beneath a building slab. Practical experience like this helps build the confidence and skills needed for a successful career in the electrical industry.
