Water pressure, wide eyes and a very important sticker 🚒

Our Year 1 and 2 students had special visitors this week. The crew from Caloundra Fire and Rescue rolled in with truck 482A and spent the morning with us.

The kids sat close and listened well. They learned what to do if there’s ever a fire at home, and Blazer’s message came home on a sticker: Get out, and stay out!

Then came the best part. Every student had a go on the hose, with a firefighter right beside them. There were squeals and a few soggy shoes. One teacher couldn’t resist having a go too.

Thank you to the Caloundra crew for kneeling on wet grass for an entire morning so every child got a turn.

Ask your Year 1 or 2 child what Blazer says. They’ll know. 🧡

Inside Our Design Centre 💛

There's something wonderful about watching students discover what they're capable of.

Our Design Centre is a place for curiosity, experimentation and hands-on learning, where students are encouraged to think differently, try new things and see where their ideas might lead.

But don't just take our word for it! Hear from the students and teachers who bring this space to life every day.

A special thank you to McLellan Bush Architects for their thoughtful design of a Centre that will serve our students for years to come.

Take a look inside!

🌟 HOW MANY STARS ARE IN THE JAR? 🌟

There's a guessing game happening in our College Library this week, and a prize worth reaching for!

As part of our Scholastic Book Fair celebrations, Primary students are invited to guess how many colourful star beads are hiding in the jar.

The closest guess wins a $20 Book Fair voucher AND the jar of stars! ⭐

Pop into the Library this week, have a good look and put your best guess in.

Good luck, star gazers! 🚀✨

🎨 Celebrating our young artists!

Congratulations to Year 12 student Alana, whose artwork, Intimacy, was selected for exhibition at Creative Generation!

Created as part of her Year 12 Visual Arts studies, Intimacy is a series of acrylic paintings on board, incorporating candlelight.

Seeing her work displayed in a professional gallery alongside the work of talented young artists from across the region was a wonderful moment for Alana and a proud one for our College.

Congratulations, Alana! What a lovely way to celebrate your final year of Visual Arts. 💛

STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK | Tuckshop & College Transport

As we finish Staff Appreciation Week, we want to thank two teams whose work is such an essential part of everyday life at CalCC.

Our bus drivers carry a precious responsibility. Every morning, families entrust their children to their care, knowing they will be safely transported to school and home again at the end of the day. Behind those daily journeys is our Transport Coordinator, making sure everything runs as it should.

And then there's our wonderful Tuckshop team! Feeding a school full of hungry young people is no small undertaking. It's a busy job, and one that brings them into contact with so many of our students throughout the day.

We can become so accustomed to these services being there that we forget just how much we depend on the people who provide them.

To our bus drivers, Transport Coordinator and Tuckshop staff — thank you for the responsibility you carry, the work you put in and the care you show our students.

You are an important and valued part of our College community, and we are so grateful for you. 💛

STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK | Flourish Early Learning Centre

There is so much wonder in the world when you're little.

And what a privilege it is to spend your days with children who are discovering it all for the first time.

Our Flourish educators share in some of the most precious years of a child's life. They get to witness those first friendships, the growing independence and the delight of a child discovering something new.

But perhaps the loveliest part of their work is the relationships they build with the children in their care. The trust that grows, the sense of belonging, and the joy of being known and loved.

To our wonderful Flourish team — thank you for the heart you bring to your work and for making these early years such a beautiful beginning for our littlest learners.

We are so grateful for you. 💛
