Fro-yo was on the menu yesterday as Gaoth House hosted its Race for Justice fundraiser! Students enjoyed creating their perfect frozen yoghurt combinations while raising funds to support a cluster of middle schools in Tonga, including our sister school, Peteli Middle School.
We're incredibly grateful to Ashbern Farms, who once again generously donated fresh strawberries for our fundraiser. Their kindness and ongoing support add a little extra sweetness to our Race for Justice events.
Thank you to everyone who got involved and supported this important cause.

𝗪𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗩𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲! Catch Unity College's Year 9 and 11 students as they take on the 𝗕𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟰 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝟳.𝟯𝟬𝗽𝗺 𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝟳 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟳𝗣𝗹𝘂𝘀. They are the first rock band to play full instruments and vocals to ever do this in Australia! What song will they choose? Will they turn any chairs? Which coach will they choose? Today our Year 1 students were excited to welcome our local firefighters, who taught them about fire safety, what to do in an emergency, and the important role firefighters play in keeping our community safe. The day took an unexpected turn when the crew were called away to respond to a real emergency. Our students watched on in awe as they sprang into action, giving them a firsthand look at the vital work they do every day.
We look forward to welcoming our firefighters back soon to continue sharing their knowledge and experiences with our students.

Our Year 12 Certificate III in Fitness students have been putting their learning into practice through their final practical assessment, working one-on-one with clients to conduct fitness screenings, analyse results and design personalised fitness programs. From measuring blood pressure, flexibility and strength to demonstrating exercises and providing tailored advice, our students showcased the knowledge, confidence and professionalism they have developed throughout the course.
A huge congratulations to our students on this milestone achievement. We are proud of the way they applied their skills to support others and make a positive impact in our community.

𝗪𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟱 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁, 𝟴.𝟰𝟱𝗮𝗺 𝗮𝘀 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿.
Our Grandparents Day theme, "Waves of Wisdom – Oceans of Love," celebrates the love, wisdom and guidance grandparents share across generations.
Following the Liturgy, families are invited to enjoy a picnic together, explore our Book Week display in the Learning Resource Centre, and share in this special morning of connection and celebration. A light morning tea will be provided for our grandparents. 𝙋𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝙍𝙎𝙑𝙋 𝙫𝙞𝙖 𝙄𝙣𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢 𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙩𝙤 𝙛𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙨.

With graduation on the horizon, Year 12 students took a break to celebrate their final year together with a biscuit decorating challenge. Filled with creativity, laughter and a touch of nostalgia, it was a fun reminder that some of the best school memories are made in the moments shared along the way.
