There were a few double takes around Unity College today as our Year 12 students took part in the Spirit Week "Dress as a Teacher" theme. With plenty of creativity and attention to detail on display, students embraced the challenge while celebrating the staff who have supported them throughout their schooling journey. It was a wonderful opportunity to share some laughs and reflect on the relationships that have helped shape their time at Unity College as they prepare for their final weeks of secondary school.

What a fantastic few days of Touch Football for Unity College, with strong performances, impressive results and plenty of memorable moments across the tournament. We are so proud of the commitment, resilience and teamwork shown by our students both on and off the field. Thank you to our staff, volunteers and families for their ongoing support, and well done to every player for the way they wore the Unity colours with pride.

At Unity College, we believe strong literacy skills unlock success in school and life. Through the use of decodable readers, students build confidence, fluency, and a love of reading by developing the foundational skills needed to become capable, independent readers. Every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, and literacy is the key that opens the door.

𝗔 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆! Through an exploration of printmaking, Mr Tanner’s Year 10 Visual Art students drew inspiration from Andy Warhol to create vibrant self-portraits. Using layered colours, texture and expressive techniques that draw on the visual conventions of Pop Art, students produced unique artworks that reflect their individuality while showcasing their growing confidence as artists and the way art can explore identity, perspective and personal expression.

The last week of Term 3 saw us celebrate Unity in Community Day, and our annual Silver Slipper Race did not disappoint. Students and staff took to the track, bringing plenty of enthusiasm and friendly competition to one of Unity's favourite traditions.
Congratulations to Talamh on claiming this year's Silver Slipper title!
