Playgroup is on Thursday morning.

𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄 (𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆) 𝗮𝘁 𝟵:𝟭𝟱𝗮𝗺 📚✨

This week we’re celebrating 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 with stories, imagination and plenty of playful fun!

Come along for a morning of exploring favourite books, getting creative and discovering the magic of storytelling through fun activities designed for little learners.

Here’s a sneak peek at what’s happening:

We also enjoy shared morning tea 🍏

🌿 PBL Focus – Week 7: Class Building 🌿
This week, our students are strengthening our classroom community by working together, encouraging one another and celebrating each other's strengths. Through class-building activities, students are learning that everyone has an important role in making our classroom a place where everyone feels valued and connected.

💥 CALLIOPE SWIM CAMP 💥

SQUAD INTENSIVE WEEK

We are excited to be planning a special Calliope Swim Camp during the second week of the September school holidays!

This will be a 5-day squad intensive, giving swimmers a fantastic opportunity to get back in the pool, build fitness and sharpen their skills before regular squad training kicks off the following week.

📅 Monday 28 September – Friday 2 October
⏱️ 5 x 1-hour sessions
🕐 Time: TBC – likely 1:00pm or 2:00pm
🏊 🏊‍♀️Open to: Any of our Transition, Junior, Intermediate & Senior squad swimmers from either our Calliope or Gladstone pools

All squad levels will come together for this special intensive week, making it a great way to get a head start on the new squad term after the school holidays.

📣 At this stage, we’re gauging interest!

Weekly Wrap Up - Term 3 Week 6
Off to a great start this week with the official opening of our refurnished tuckshop. Local member Bryson Head attended as well as our School Supervisor Kurt Goodwin. Thank you to our tuckshop convenor Lisa, our amazing volunteers and Emma, our school Business Manager for you work in completing this task. We had students participating in the Capricornia Athletics in Mackay at the start of the week with Mrs Betts. Lots of learning happening in classrooms throughout the week. See the photos included with highlights from this week. Our school focus on reading continues in every classroom. The school has three teacher aides dedicated to working Monday – Thursday with a focus on supporting reading in classrooms. Rest up on the weekend - we have a big week ahead in Week 7 – Road Safety Week events and Book Week!

Port to Park
Thank you to all the families who completed the walk/run on Sunday. We appreciate that you have contributed to our school. Students can wear their green Port to Park shirt on this Friday 21 August to school.
