We closed off Term 3 by saying farewell to our wonderful School Principal, Mr Damien Barry, who has led Wisdom College for the past five years.

Mr Barry has been an important part of our College, and we are incredibly grateful for his leadership, dedication and the care he has shown our students, staff and families throughout his time at Wisdom.

To mark the occasion, we put together this special farewell video, a collection of memories, moments and messages that reflect the impact Mr. Barry has had on our school community over the years.

As he begins his next chapter, we thank him for the lasting contribution he has made to Wisdom College and wish him every success and happiness for the future.

A farewell message from our Principal:

Today is my last day as Principal of this wonderful College!

It has been my privilege to be a member of this community, and to play a small part in your lives.

To our staff, parents, families, students, QECF community and College Board, thank you for the opportunities, hard work, and willingness to collectively make this such a wonderful place to work and learn.

Together we have achieved so much in the past 5 years, and I know that this will only be built on further in years to come.

Our incoming Principal Mr John Chalvatsis is a very experienced educator, a lovely human being, and I know that he will contribute so much, and will be warmly welcomed by everyone.

Wisdom College will always be a part of me, I will forever be keeping a close eye on developments, and will come back regularly to share in special events wherever possible.

Good bye and good luck!

Mr Damien Barry – signing off 😊

💛 R U OK? Day 💛

Today, our staff came together over morning tea to pause, connect and remind one another of the importance of asking a simple but meaningful question: “Are you OK?”

A genuine conversation can make a real difference, not just today, but every day. Check in with those around you, listen with care and let them know they’re not alone.

Ask R U OK? Any day. 💛
