What an inspiring start to the Cairns Early Years Conference. We’re proud to share the Day One photo drop below and to have been part of such a vibrant gathering of early years champions.

Our Communities for Children team was actively involved throughout the day - connecting with delegates, sharing insights from our local initiatives, and celebrating the collective effort that strengthens children and families across Cairns South and Yarrabah.

This conference is a powerful reminder of what happens when community organisations, services, and leaders come together with a shared purpose. The conversations, the energy, and the commitment across the venue were a testament to the strength of our sector.

🥳This week Hambledon House Community Centre have their annual Open Day happening. If you are looking for a FREE, fun morning out head along to the centre on Thursday 14th May. The Open Day is a great opportunity to see what happens each week at the centre, in the space of a few hours - suitable for babies through to Seniors, there is something for everyone!

We can't wait to join Cairns & Gordonvale Early Years Centres on Wednesday 6 May to celebrate the 10th Birthday of the opening of their Gordonvale Centre 🥳
There will be all of the usual Neighbourhood Day stalls, scavenger hunt and activities that you love plus Dany Barni from The Nightshift Cairns performing 😍

It's the 10th Birthday Celebration of the opening of our Gordonvale Centre and we would love for Everyone to come along and celebrate with us. We are combining this event with our Neighbourhood day and our fabulous partners Wuchopperen Health Service Ltd Communities for Children Cairns Regional Council to bring you a FANTASTIC afternoon filled with FREE activities for the whole family. We will have BubbleLabs AU Dany Barni from The Nightshift Cairns performing, Roaming Wild & Jumping Castles & Slides Cairns will be there too.

🌟 Art for Everyone will run a Community Recycling arts project throughout the day so come and be a part of creating this mural 🤩
🌟 A local author will be a guest speaker as a part of the Book Club initiative.
🌟 We will launch the Book Swap space so bring books to share.
🌟 Cairns South Together will showcase their projects
🌟 Join fun activities with our garden group🌿
