Goodstart Early Learning Kanimbla

Kindergarten One children have been participating in scissor skills, focused on learning how to use scissors safely and correctly. Miss Sammie modelled the correct grip and demonstrated the opening and closing motion needed for cutting. Children were encouraged to practise these skills while receiving support and guidance as needed.
This experience is valuable as it helps children develop fine motor strength, hand-eye coordination, and bilateral coordination. Learning to use scissors safely also promotes independence, concentration, and confidence when using tools. These foundational skills support future learning experiences such as drawing, writing, craft activities, and other tasks that require hand control and precision.

Nursery 4 children have been exploring their reflections in the mirror and showed great curiosity about their facial features and expressions. Inspired by their interest in nature, they created natural self-portraits using leaves, sticks, flowers, and other natural materials.
The children carefully selected and arranged the items to represent themselves, demonstrating creativity, observation skills, and a growing sense of identity while connecting with the natural world.
Everyone had so much fun 🌱 🪵🍁🌾
