Wonderwood Montessori School

In the Montessori method, focus and concentration are cultivated through uninterrupted work periods, child-led task choices, and a prepared environment. True concentration is viewed as deep internal engagement rather than forced stillness.

We have been happily meeting families and had a handful of Prep to Year 3 children join us for the start of Term 3. We are now looking for new enrolments for 2027, which will include Year 4- Year 6. If you have a child with a Montessori background or are looking at progressive education pathways, we are the school for you.

Enrolling your child - Wonderwood Montessori School Waitlist Application Fee: $100 Per child, non-refundable, due on application. Application fee covers the cost of the application process. Payment of the application fee does not guarantee an offer of a place at the school.

What a wonderful start to the term! Albeit a short first week.

We welcomed several new students. It has been great to see everyone settle in and share the excitement around our new nature playground, which is already becoming a spot for fun, adventure and digging! As you would expect, there were many smiles, along with much excitement.

This is the first stage of this nature play development, with more to come. Thanks to the community support for getting this stage completed at the end of Term 2.

We'd also like to thank everyone who has been involved in our gardening efforts. The children have been preparing the soil in the order to enhance the playground and plant new seedlings, fruit trees and flowers.

We're so excited for everything this term has in store and can't wait to share more special moments with our small but growing community!

🎉 Exciting News for Our Community! 🎉
We are thrilled to announce that our school has now received official approval from the Non-State School Accreditation Board (NSSAB) as a registered school. This is a huge milestone and an exciting step forward for our growing community.

As of 5 June 2026, students aged 6-8yo can be enrolled for the remainder of 2026, and children aged 9-12yo for commencement in 2027.

Although we’re still a few months away from securing our early-learning registration, we’re confident it’s on the horizon. Once this next step is achieved, we’ll be able to extend our Montessori program to children aged 2 to 12. After that milestone, our attention will turn to creating a Montessori adolescent program, with plans to launch in 2032.

As the gates close on a productive week at Wonderwood Montessori School, it was a delight to welcome young people to the campus this week. We’re excited with the progress and interest in our soon to begin Montessori Parent/Toddler Playgroup. Thanks for connections made with several new families. We are truly grateful for our devoted and growing community’s ongoing support. Wishing everyone a relaxing weekend. we look forward to building on this momentum in the weeks to come.

We’re buzzing with excitement here at Wonderwood Montessori School as we setup our indoor and outdoor Prepared Environments for when we are able to welcome our first students! Our team is working hard to create inspiring, safe, and welcoming spaces that encourage curiosity and independence for every child. From setting up beautiful classroom materials to designing engaging outdoor areas, every detail is thoughtfully considered.
