FQ FUTSAL CHAMPIONSHIPS | A big congratulations to all our teams who competed in the 2026 FQ Regional School Futsal Championships. It was a fantastic week of competition, and we are thrilled to give a special shoutout to our U13 Boys, who have now successfully qualified for the FQ School Northern State Championships!

ATHLETICS CARNIVAL | What a brilliant day at Barlow Park for our Secondary and Senior Primary Athletics Carnival! It was wonderful to see so much enthusiasm, participation, and team spirit on display. Congratulations to all of our students, and a huge thank you to our amazing staff, including our PE team, for the energy they brought to the day. We also thank all the parents who joined us to cheer on and support the students. Our full photo gallery will be shared soon on Toddle.

OUTDOOR LEARNING PROGRAM | Our Year 9 students have returned from a fantastic experience at Camp Paterson! They threw themselves into every activity with great enthusiasm, including archery, Plugga, drawbridge building, obstacle courses, and the ever-popular Water Wipeout.

With campfires, plenty of laughter, perfect weather, and positive attitudes all around, it was a memorable experience for everyone involved. A big thank you to all the staff for the time, energy, and care they put into making it such a wonderful camp for our students.

ATHLETICS CARNIVAL | 4 DAYS TO GO!

Monday, June 8th at Barlow Park!

Years 3–12: Get your house colours and outfits ready! This year's theme is 'Aussie, Aussie, Aussie'. We can't wait for a fantastic day of team spirit, participation, and fun!

ECO MARINES | Our EcoMarine Ambassadors enjoyed an incredible day at Green Island yesterday, learning about the important role we all play in protecting our environment.

Students explored the reef on a glass-bottom boat, spotting turtles, stingrays, colourful fish and coral, before taking a guided walk around the island to learn about its history and the sustainability initiatives helping to protect and preserve the reef. They were amazed to discover just how much rubbish is collected from the island each week!

Working in small groups with other students from around the region, students learnt how they can become active Citizens of the Reef, contributing to reef restoration efforts. What a valuable and inspiring learning experience in such a beautiful part of our region!

BUSH KINDY PROGRAM | Our little adventurers have been having a fantastic time at Bush Kindy!

Twice a week throughout Terms 2 and 3, our Kindy classes venture down to the creek for our Bush Kindy sessions, which provide a wonderful opportunity for children to explore, discover, and learn in nature.

ATHLETICS CARNIVAL | The countdown is on for our Yr 3 - 12 Athletics Carnival, coming up on June 8th at Barlow Park!

Get your house colours ready for a fantastic day of participation and team spirit. We’re looking forward to seeing students cheering each other on and giving their best in each event!

Don’t forget our 1500m race on Tuesday 2nd June at first lunch.

STUDENT SPOTLIGHT | Congratulations to Jordy (Year 10) and Zach (Year 9) on their recent success representing Peninsula at the State Championships in their respective sports!

Jordy: QRSS State Basketball Championships

Jordy and the Peninsula basketball team delivered an outstanding performance across the tournament, finishing 5th overall against strong competition from across Queensland. A special shoutout to Jordy on his selection into the Queensland State Performance Program – a fantastic recognition of his hard work and talent on the court. Well done, Jordy!

Zach: QRSS State AFL Championships

Zach and his Peninsula AFL team also dominated on the field, securing a fantastic 5th-place finish overall. A special congratulations to Zach on being appointed Vice Captain for the team! Zach has also been selected to represent the Northern Suns Academy in Airlie Beach this June. What an incredible achievement. Well done, Zach!
