Just 2 days until our Kindy Open Day ✨ We can’t wait to welcome you!

🌺 Last week our group 1 children had the opportunity to learn about and experience the significance of the Dhari, an important Torres Strait Islander symbol and cultural headdress. 🌺

Through stories, creativity, music and shared experiences, the children explored culture, identity, connection and respect in meaningful and engaging ways 🖤💚💙

As a next step in their learning, the children will be creating their own Dhari artworks and crafts. Hands-on experiences like these help children deepen their understanding by learning through doing, encouraging creativity, problem-solving, fine motor development and meaningful connections to the learning experience.

We value opportunities that help children develop understanding and appreciation of the rich histories and cultures of First Nations peoples and the diverse communities around us.
