Tobias - Growing Against All Odds

Tobias contracted Meningococcal Septicemia at 4.5 months old. He survived, became an amputee, and continues to defy the odds.

His journey is a testament to resilience, family, community, and the will to thrive against all challenges thrown his way.

🏝️Green Island 🏝️

Family Day out on the weekend and we ventured over to and boy she was as choppy! 🤣
Once we hit land, we had a snorkel before the tide dropped, ventured out on the semi submarine, and had a buffet lunch back on board the Big Cat!
And, I think a highlight for us was a trip into Marineland!
The presentations, knowledge and skills throughout our visit were amazing and something all ages should not miss!
We will definitely be back on a better tide 🌊🙊🎉

Would mean the world to us for everyone to share this far and wide!!!
Even if you think you'd never be able to contribute, you never know who may travel that can!

Our goal as a family is to make it to the next Skills for Life 8 weekend and these scholarships help people like us to afford these trips for our kids like Tobias!

We recently got Tobias a Shnuggle Toddler Bath.
Of course we didn't test it out at home first 🙊
The beach was too good not to visit on the weekend for a big family day out, and this was the perfect safe play space for Tobias to rinse the salt water off and play with some toys!
Still yet to be tested out at home for bath time 😂🎉

This is just some of the fun we have. Even if it's scary for Herbie haha

As fun as it looks, this will also be a good part of Tobias' lessons to know how fast things can happen, and not everyone can be there all the time for him. So building skills in his lessons is so important even if it looks like play at the same time.

We have just finished a week's staycay at Ronald McDonald House -North Australia Palm Cove Retreat!
What a treat it was!
Being local we still had school/work commitments 🙊 but the downtime we could share as a family was creating these new memories we cherish so dearly!
