📚✨ Book Week 2026 ✨📚
What a wonderful week celebrating some of our favourite stories at Kindy!
We enjoyed a special visit from Mr McGee, sharing much-loved Pamela Allen favourites, while our teaching team brought Little Red Riding Hood to life with their own performance! 🐺❤️ Our play spaces were filled with storybook-inspired provocations, with plenty of opportunities for dressing up, acting out stories, reading, listening and imaginative play. A wonderful week celebrating stories through creativity, imagination and play! 📖✨

🔬🌱 National Science Week – Seeds of Science! 🌱🔬
Last week we had lots of fun celebrating National Science Week and exploring this year’s theme, Seeds of Science.
Across the week, the children enjoyed lots of science themed activities - observing caterpillars and chrysalises 🦋, watching coloured water “walk” between our Rainbow Cups 🌈, and making predictions before testing out the very exciting Mentos Coke Fountain🥤and much more!
We also read The Tiny Seed by Eric Carle and explored how seeds grow and travel.
Science is woven into so much of our everyday play at Kindy, encouraging children to wonder, predict, experiment and discover! 🔍✨

What a wonderful Term 1 it has been getting to know our amazing 2026 children! 💛 This week, we had so much fun with chocolate-scented playdough and decorating our very own bunny ears for our last day Easter Bunny egg hunts 🐰🍫

Reminder: We will be closed for the Easter school holidays from Friday 3rd April to Sunday 19th April. Kindy resumes Monday 20th April. Wishing all our families a happy and safe Easter! 🐣🥚💐

What a wonderful Welcome Day we had on Sunday! 🌿☀️

It was so lovely to see families connecting and getting to know each other. A big thank you to our amazing Social Committee for organising such a fantastic afternoon.

Thank you to Cairns Magical Face & Balloon for the beautiful face painting, BubbleLabs AU for the magical bubble entertainment, and for the incredible animal encounters. We’re also so grateful to Whitfield State School for providing the perfect venue.

The children had a great time exploring the nature playground, and the toy and bake sales were a big hit — thank you to all the families who generously donated toys and baked goods.

We hope everyone had a wonderful afternoon! 💛
