🎉 The T-Bay Rays defeated Kirwan SHS in Townsville yesterday—an outstanding result, and we're very proud of the team. 💚🏉

💜 Day 4 - Refugee from Malawi

𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 – 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆! 👕🧸
Wear casual clothes and your favourite school-appropriate jumper and bring along a gold coin donation to hand in during Period 1. The Junior Council is raising funds for the 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝘂𝗻 𝗥𝘂𝗻 coming up in Term 3. Thank you for your support! 🎨🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Earlier this year, Year 12 EAL English students examined the personal, social, historical and cultural significance of representations in the collection of memoirs, Growing Up Asian in Australia edited by Alice Pung and the cultural assumptions, attitudes, values and beliefs underpinning them.
Yesterday we visited the Archies portrait exhibition🎨, where many students had painted portraits, including self-portraits. It was lovely to see the overlap across curriculum as the reflection of the themes and values studied in English have been further personalised and examined in their artworks.

💜 Day 3 - Refugee from Nepal

🏕Senior Physics students ventured to the outback for an unforgettable trip to the Chillagoe Observatory🔭. Days were spent exploring caves, swimming at the local waterhole, and climbing nearby hills. Evenings were filled with campfires, and as the clouds parted, students were rewarded with stunning views of the stars and the Milky Way✨

🏉 It's game day once again! Our T-Bay Rays take on Kirwan SHS in Townsville today. After a bright start to the season, our teams will be looking to put their competitions on notice with big performances against a traditional powerhouse. All games will be livestreamed by and the Cairns Post.
