Dedicated, Passionate and Experienced Educators Our dedicated team of educators understand how critical the first five years is to a child's development.

At Cairns Kids we believe children develop best when their days are filled with play, learning and fun. The important thing is to achieve the right balance.

Little hands, big imaginations! 🌈

Our classroom was filled with focused energy today as the children explored various shapes, sizes, and colours with our wooden blocks.

From building tall towers to creating unique structures, open-ended play like this allows our children to express their creativity without any limits. It was so beautiful to see them collaborating so gently, sharing blocks, and learning from one another.

Every stack is a stepping stone to problem-solving! πŸ‘πŸ’‘

Bright colours and big imaginations! πŸ₯°

Today, our yard was filled with focused energy as the children took over the concrete with colourful chalk.

There are no limits to what they can create when they are given the freedom to explore! It was wonderful to watch them chat, share the chalk pieces, and admire each other's drawings.
These simple, open-ended activities are so powerful for building early communication, collaboration, and creative expression.

Splish, splash, and endless smiles in our outdoor yard! β˜€οΈπŸ’¦

Our beautiful children put their gross motor skills and creativity to work through wonderful outdoor experiences. From splashing in our mud puddles and digging in the sand to cooling down under the water sprays, they engaged all their senses through play!

We also loved watching their imagination flow as they drew masteries on the chalkboards and challenged their balance on our climbing equipment.

Active days like this are so important for building physical confidence and strong friendships! πŸŒΏπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

Our little creators had a wonderful time exploring nature through a creative sensory collage! 🌿✨

Step by step, the children worked together to design a beautiful masterpiece:
* Exploring Textures: Spreading the glue and feeling the unique textures of various leaves.
* Fine Motor & Creativity: Carefully selecting and placing natural materials onto their shared canvas.
* A Touch of Sparkle: Adding bright tinsel and shiny stars to bring their artwork to life! 🌟

This hands-on experience was a fantastic way for our children to practice hand-eye coordination, team collaboration, and connect with the natural environment. Look at how focused and proud they are! πŸ₯°πŸ‘‡

Our National Reconciliation Week journey has been absolutely incredible, and today the excitement continued to build! 🌟✨

The children were fully immersed in First Nations culture today, transforming cardboard tubes into their very own beautiful didgeridoos 🎨🎡

Afterwards, we gathered around our indoor 'campfire' with Miss Lilly to hear stories of traditional cooking and test out our newly crafted instruments!

It has been so wonderful watching our little learners go 'All In' every single day this week, building deep connections and respect through play.

Can you believe tomorrow is already the final day of our celebrations?
We have something very special planned to wrap up this beautiful week.

Stay tuned, families! πŸ‘€πŸ–€πŸ’›β€οΈπŸ’šπŸ’™

Our Senior Kindy friends had an exciting excursion to the library today! πŸ“šβœ¨

The children practiced their independence by personally returning their books through the chute and exploring the shelves to borrow new favourites.

The learning didn't stop thereβ€”their collaboration skills truly shined!

We are so impressed by how wonderfully our SK children communicate, share, and support one another during our community visits.
Way to go, Senior Kindy! πŸ‘πŸ’š

Our National Reconciliation Week journey continues as we go 'All In' through art and creativity! 🎨✨

Our children have been exploring the beautiful meanings behind the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags. By using the traditional colours to create their own amazing paintings, they are learning about the rich histories and cultures of First Nations peoples.
Displaying their artwork with pride outside has been a wonderful way to show our shared respect and connection. We love seeing our little artists embrace such an important learning journey! πŸ–€πŸ’›β€οΈπŸ’šπŸ’™

Welcome to our beautiful 'Sea of Hearts'! β€οΈπŸ’™πŸ’šπŸ–€πŸ’›

Have you noticed the gorgeous display at the front of our centre? As part of our National Reconciliation Week celebrations, our children and educators have gone 'All In' to create this meaningful installation.

Each beautiful heart on our fence was hand-painted by our little learners, representing our shared love, respect, and unity. Together with our stunning 'Reconciliation Week' banner, it stands proudly at our gate to welcome all our wonderful families.

We invite all our parents and families to take a moment during drop-off or pick-up to admire the children’s amazing work and share in this journey of togetherness with us! 🌿✨

🌿 Junior Kindy’s Beautiful Reconciliation Week Journey! πŸ–€πŸ’›β€οΈ

Our Junior Kindy children had a truly special Thursday as we continued our National Reconciliation Week learning!

We gathered together in a beautiful yarning circle to listen to Ms. Lilly share a wonderful story called My People. The children were absolutely engaged, listening with open hearts and minds as she shared about her beautiful culture and heritage. πŸŒΎπŸ“–

Afterwards, our yard was filled with music and laughter! The children loved learning traditional Aboriginal songs and dances, happily copying the actions and moving together as one big family. πŸŽΆπŸ•Ίβœ¨

To finish our day, our little artists explored patterns and textures through a beautiful leaf painting activity using cotton buds. It was amazing to see their creativity shine through such meaningful nature-based art! πŸ‚πŸŽ¨

We are so proud of our Junior Kindy friends for showing such respect, curiosity, and togetherness today. πŸ₯°
