A warm welcome to Mimi and Game from EIM, who have joined our centre for their practical placement.

Placements provide valuable hands on experience and the opportunity to learn alongside experienced educators. We look forward to supporting them on their learning journey and having them as part of our team.

Miss Sam and her fellow CD's attended the Cairns Career Expo at the Showgrounds today, representing Goodstart Early Learning and chatting with prospective educators about the rewarding opportunities available in early childhood education.

It was great to connect with so many people interested in making a positive difference in children’s lives.

This week, we are proudly recognising National Reconciliation Week, a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to reflect on how we can contribute to reconciliation in Australia.

Throughout the week, our children have been engaging in meaningful experiences that celebrate and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures. Through stories, artwork, discussions, music, and learning about Country, we are fostering a sense of belonging, respect, and understanding from an early age.

Together, we continue to learn, grow, and walk forward on the journey of reconciliation.

🪱 Our Worm Farm Adventure 🪱

The children in the Kindergarten space have been busy learning about sustainability and caring for our environment through our worm farm! 🌱

They have enjoyed exploring how worms help turn food scraps into healthy compost while learning about recycling, nature, and responsibility. Watching the worms at work has created lots of conversations, curiosity, and hands on learning opportunities.

What a wonderful way to support children’s understanding of caring for our world 🌏💚

Meet our new ECT Miss Serena 🍃. Bringing a wealth of knowledge, passion, and dedication, our ECT is committed to creating engaging, nurturing, and meaningful learning experiences for our children. Her focus on supporting each child’s development, curiosity, and wellbeing will be a wonderful addition to our team.
