Was a great day at the careers expo showcasing what early learning is all about. While I was only able to commit to a couple of hours, the beautiful Karla, Cherena and Sam (other directors in the area) where present for the day.

Pre Kindy set ups are looking so colourful and interesting as the children are working on their fine motor and cognitive skills.

This week in Kindergarten, our learning journey began with the children’s own ideas and experiences as we explored community helpers. Through meaningful discussions, the children shared their connections to people in the community who help and protect us, with a strong interest emerging around firefighters and emergency services.
Following the children’s interests, we engaged in a range of play-based learning experiences that supported their understanding of the important roles community helpers have within our society. The children collaborated to create a fire truck, which has now become part of our home corner environment, encouraging imaginative role play, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. At the art table, the children explored their creativity by creating “fires” using different materials and techniques, while also learning about emergency vehicles and how firefighters help keep communities safe

And that's a wrap on tonight's parent teacher night for our toddler, senior toddler and pre-kindy families and in true fashion I forgot to take photos. Thank you to all that booked in. It is always lovely to catch up and talk about your child's development. Tomorrow night we see our Kindergarten families have their turn.

New resources have started arriving for our Kindergarten room from Kinder funding. There is going to be some very excited little people over the next couple of days!!!!

✨ Two incredible days of growth, reflection, collaboration, and leadership learning! ✨

Last week, our Centre Director Zoe had the opportunity to join leaders from across Regional Queensland in Brisbane as part of the Empowered Leaders Program through Goodstart Early Learning, starting her journey on the Diploma of Leadership and Management with CTA Training Specialists.

Across the two days, participants explored emotional intelligence, collaboration, critical conversations, and the way our brains process information, emotions, and communication within the workplace. The sessions encouraged reflection, challenged thinking, and highlighted the importance of connected and intentional leadership within our teams and services.

The experience sparked meaningful conversations, new connections, and plenty of reflective moments that will continue to shape leadership journeys over the next 10 months.
