I took this shot after Greg & Hollys ceremony yesterday. It started out as a simple moment capturing an internal feeling of happiness after I created and delivered a beautiful ceremony for H+G. That post-ceremony elation really is a special feeling.

To be very honest though, behind that smile has been a woman barely coping with her workload and commitments.
I took on a new full-time job as a breakfast radio announcer on Triple M Cairns in March & I’m doing my best to deliver the 56 weddings I have committed for 2022 + my commentary/MC duties. I’m happy but I’m incredibly overwhelmed and doing what I can to get through to the end.

💥Here’s a ‘lil story about 2 worlds colliding.

Years back, Kylie from Eventcore recommended my Celebrant services to Darwin based explorers, Britt & Jake.
When I first saw their email address I sensed something VERY familiar about this couple and within 15mins into our meeting we realized that we’d been following each other’s 4WD travel accounts since 2016.

Ours 👉🏼Winch and Unwind👉🏼 theirs BJ Cruisin.
During our separate travels seeking adventure around Australia our tracks never crossed, but as soon we made this connection, Britt & Jake locked in my services to marry them in Port Douglas.

On Saturday 30th April ✌🏼 hearts collided and become Mr & Mrs Hart 🤍

If all attendees at an indoor or an outdoor wedding are vaccinated, no density limits will apply.

If anyone is unvaccinated, including the wedding party and officials, only a maximum of 20 people can attend.

You will need to show proof of vaccination or a medical exemption to attend a wedding.

Those under 16 years don’t need to give contact information, proof of vaccination or evidence of medical contraindication.

Personal Update:
I want to make it clear to my couples that although I will abide by the current rules, I will not taken responsibility for checking your Guests Vax status at the ceremony. I personally don't believe this falls into my role.

Please make sure you understand the situation that pertains to your wedding. If you have unvaccinated guests attending, make sure you discuss it with your vendor team. Although I don't have an issue with it, some vendors may.

Lastly, don't leave the awkward conversations with your guests and vendors to the last minute. The earlier you bring it up, the easier it will be to move forwardly effectively.

Today was Day ✌️back in the (home) office and I must admit that I am absolutely loving being back at work. After a much needed and blissful two and a half week holiday, including a few fun local road trips, I feel refreshed and prepared for the year ahead. I hope you also feel positive about the year to come.

A belated Merry Christmas to you all. I hope your festive season has been a joyful one.

I’ve been enjoying my holidays soaking up quality family time and a break from social media & emails. We’ve laughed constantly, indulged in plenty of good food & drinks and I’m excited to ‘Summer clean’ my house. Weird I know, but I love having more than 2 days off in a row to get stuff done 😆

2021 WHERE have you gone??

Oh my goodness friends, is anyone else baffled by the fact it’s the 16th Dec already?? 🤯

I usually wrap up my Dec with Admin prep & forward planning meetings but this year I have 2 final Elopements locked in which are keeping me busy.

I’m going to be honest with you all, I’m really ready for a break away from my computer…

Before that break starts on the 23rd Dec I will be sharing plenty of special memories from the elopements and big celebratory weddings that I haven’t shared from my 2021 season. I’m ready to relive lots of epic moments with special couples I've married.

FORTY SEVEN years, WOW👏🏼
I bloody love these two! They have been exceptional parents, friends and role models in so many ways. Both have qualities that impress the hell outta me. I’m so proud to be their daughter.

Last Friday night the four of us celebrated the 47yrs at our favourite Cairns restaurant, Tamarind. It was flawless (as usual). Tasty food, exceptional service and fabulous conversation 🍾🥂

They had originally planned a big wedding in South East QLD, but the dredded pandemic ruined that idea so they said, "Screw it! Let's save cash, create an epic holiday experience for our close family and ELOPE on Fitzroy Island in Tropical North Queensland."
