🧶🌺 Learning, Listening, Weaving & Connecting
Another beautiful step forward in a journey that we know is only just beginning. ❤️
Our educators had the privilege of spending time with Cecelia and the lovely Thelma from Connecting the Dots for a Yarn & Weaving Workshop, continuing to build our knowledge and understanding of Torres Strait Islander culture, traditions and ways of sharing knowledge.
And what an experience it was! 🧶
There was weaving (and a few determined faces trying to get it just right! 😂), plenty of yarning, lots of laughter, stories shared and, most importantly, opportunities to listen and learn.
For our team, this journey isn't about completing one workshop, adding an experience to the program or ticking a box. It's about building genuine relationships, growing our cultural knowledge and becoming more confident in how we respectfully and authentically embed what we learn into our everyday practice with children.
Every conversation teaches us something.
Every connection strengthens our understanding.
And every opportunity to learn together helps us take another step forward.
