We want to take a moment to acknowledge and celebrate all of the amazing women in our lives at SCCC.

Together, let's help forge gender equality through abundant giving.

The IWD 2026 Give To Gain Campaign encourages a mindset of generosity and collaboration.

Give To Gain emphasises the power of reciprocity and support. When people, organisations, and communities give generously, opportunities and support for women increase. Giving is not a subtraction, it's intentional multiplication. When women thrive, we all rise.

Whether through donations, knowledge, resources, infrastructure, visibility, advocacy, education, training, mentoring, or time, contributing to women's advancement helps create a more supportive and interconnected world.

Dear families,

You may have seen media coverage about the safety alert for specific brands of coloured play sand that may contain asbestos.

We want to reassure you that we have reviewed our resources and we do not use the affected Educational Colours or Kadink coloured sand products at our service.

We will continue to monitor updates from the Department of Education and Workplace Health and Safety Queensland and will follow all advice immediately if anything changes.

Educator's Day is this Wednesday, 3rd September, a great day to thank the wonderful Educators who dedicate their time to educate and care for our children.

There is a space in the foyer for families and staff to give their thanks for all the hard work and dedication that Early Childhood Educators do every day!

Please take a moment to write a quick note - it can be to a specific Educator that stands out to you or it could be a note to thank the team :)

Our Children's Library is stocked with books in time for FUDGE (Friends, Uncles, Dads, Grandpas & Everyone else) Day this weekend.

Feel free to take a book or two home to read!

Pyjama Day is coming around again - don't forget to wear your favourite jammies on Monday, 1st September - donations to the Pyjama Foundation can be made by scanning the QR codes on one of the posters around the centre or by going to https://fundraise.thepyjamafoundation.com/event/npd/donate
