Monday free haircuts on again tomorrow💈

💈 Monday Free Haircuts are BACK! 💈

We’ve officially opened the shop back up for our Monday Free Haircuts! 🙌

Our students are still very much learning, but if you have time and you’re after a basic trim, tidy-up or fresh haircut, come through and support our students as they continue developing their barbering skills in a real shop environment.

Come in, get cleaned up and help our students build their confidence and experience along the way!

Big congratulations to Callum, who has officially signed up for his Cert III in Automotive Light Vehicle Technician apprenticeship with Westco Mazda! 🔧🚗

Callum has put in the work throughout his time with Fresh Start Academy, and it’s great to see him now taking the next step into the automotive industry.

We’re proud of you, Callum. All the best with the apprenticeship

💈 Models Wanted! 💈

Our final group for the year are looking for models to help them kick-start their barbering journey and continue developing their skills.

If you’re interested in getting a fresh cut while supporting our students, we’d love to hear from you!

One of the biggest hurdles our young people face securing meaningful employment is their driver’s license.

Many of our young people do not have the supports to complete their required 100 hours.

We can assist them with their L’s but it’s gaining the practical experience and getting the hours up that presents the biggest challenge.

Yes there are free driving schools out there but they cannot cater for the large number of students that we work with

FSA, where we can will pay for the required 10 hours to get them started but we need driver educator volunteers to be able to utilise these funded driving programs.

We need volunteers
We can assist with obtaining your blue card if you don’t already have one and you will need to complete a criminal history check.

Once we have the volunteer numbers we can work with the funded driver program who can provide the vehicle, training and required insurances.
