Music lessons are the best!

Here's our first chord for all my students and students to be out there. D major. Now we call them major chords because they are happy sounding chords. There are only a few major chords that are 'open chords' meaning we are only using a few fingers on the fretted board. Then we will get into 'minor chords' these are sad sounding chords.

As an aspiring musician you will go through many ups and downs in the process.
I know I did. I tried performances at school, in public places like pubs and coffee shops and many others. Sometimes I got offers to come back, sometimes I didn't. When I got shot down, it was the worste feeling ever. But! I learned from each experience, and hey, you gotta start somewhere.
I started when I was a shy little 12 year old girl. I had no confidence and had never played an instrument before. I struggled for years, trying to be as good as my idol, Tommy Emmanuel - and when I couldn't do what he did, I quit. But I soon worked out that I am not going to get anywhere if I don't keep trying and keep practicing.
So now I am here to bring out the musician in you! And to remind you that when times get tough and you think you can't do it anymore, push through it, because you WILL reach your goal if you try hard enough.
Your only as good as you let yourself be. So let yourself be incredible!
