Camp - Day 1! What a fantastic first day at camp! Our students have jumped straight into the activities, embraced new challenges and shown wonderful teamwork and encouragement towards one another. A great start to camp!

Our Lost Property table is very full, with lots and lots of jumpers waiting to be reunited with their owners! 🧥

Families, please take a moment to have a look and see if you can spot any of your child’s belongings.

Any items left unclaimed on the last day of term will be donated to charity or disposed of.

Thank you for helping us get these much-loved belongings back to their families! 😊

The 2026 ARTS SHOWCASE EXTRAVAGANZA is not far away!

Qkr! is now OPEN for pre-purchasing of student gallery pieces.
Each student will have one piece of art on display in the Art Show Gallery (located in the Hall), and this piece is available for sale.

You can pre-purchase your child’s artwork via the Qkr! App from Tuesday 1st September until 8am on Monday 14th September.
The amount you pay is your choice.

If you purchase your child's art via Qkr!, it will be marked with a ‘Sold’ dot when the gallery is open on the afternoon of Tuesday 15th September. These artworks will then be sent home with your child before the school holidays.

Artwork can also be purchased on Tuesday 15th September by cash (no change available) or EFTPOS in the Hall.

✨ Snack Packs are BACK ✨
Snack Packs include cheese, crackers, kabana, fruit, vegetable sticks, dip and a chocolate treat. Snack Packs must be pre-ordered via Qkr! before 8am Friday 11th September and collected at the Rocks Café during the event on the 15th September.

Pumicestone State School principal Corrie Connors was delighted to extend a warm welcome to The Honourable John-Paul Langbroek MP, Minister for Education and The Arts; Ariana Doolan MP, Member for Pumicestone; and Janelle Reid, Acting Regional Director, North Coast Region.

It was a wonderful opportunity to officially open our FlexiSpace and share the positive difference this initiative is already making for our students.

The FlexiSpace supports around 40 students each week through curriculum adjustments and targeted student engagement.

We gratefully acknowledge the Queensland Government’s Behaviour Boost funding, which plays a role in contributing to this initiative and supports our school to provide targeted approaches that strengthen student engagement, behaviour, and connection to learning.

We were also proud to showcase our school’s focus on reading and fluency, with a visit to one of our Year 4 classrooms to see this work in action.

The visit concluded with a special reading session with our students, led by Ariana Doolan MP, Member for Pumicestone and The Honourable John-Paul Langbroek MP, Minister for Education and The Arts — a lovely way to finish a very positive morning at Pumicestone State School.
