“Wombat stew, wombat stew… gooey, brewy, yummy, chewy wombat stew!” 📖✨

Miss Ella brought one of our favourite stories to life by setting up a hands-on Wombat Stew sensory experience for our Encourage children! 💙

Inspired by the much-loved story, the children became the cooks themselves choosing their ingredients, scooping, stirring and mixing up their very own wonderfully messy Wombat Stew! 🌿🥄✨

A book + a little imagination = endless opportunities for learning, exploring and FUN! 📚💫

What a wonderful Red Nose Day at Superheroes Early Learning!

Our educators came dressed in red, our children explored special red-themed experiences and there were splashes of red everywhere we looked! 🎨🍓❤️

Days like today give us the opportunity to have meaningful conversations with our children about kindness, caring for others and the difference we can make when a community comes together.

We loved seeing everyone embrace the RED! 🔴🦸‍♀️

Don’t forget, Thursday 27th August we’re filling Superheroes Early Learning with RED for Red Nose Day! 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️✨

We would LOVE to see all of our children and educators come dressed in RED to help us celebrate this special day and show our support for Red Nose Day. ❤️

🐛🌈 WE JUST CAN’T GET ENOUGH OF THE VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR! 🌈🐛

If you saw our Encourage Room yesterday, you would have seen our little artists painting their own interpretations of The Very Hungry Caterpillar… and today the caterpillar fun continues! 🎨🐛

Here at Superheroes Early Learning, it’s safe to say our children AND educators absolutely LOVE The Very Hungry Caterpillar! ❤️📚 We love seeing how one much-loved story can inspire so many different learning experiences across our rooms.

This time, our Inspire Room little learners explored the story through a colourful hands-on fine motor experience! 🌈✨

Using tongs, the children carefully picked up the colourful pom poms, matching them to the corresponding coloured bowls and using them to create their very own Hungry Caterpillar. 🐛

And while those little hands were busy, there was SO much learning happening!

🌈 Colour recognition and matching
👀 Hand-eye coordination
🧠 Concentration and problem-solving
💪 Building those important little hand muscles for future writing skills

📚🐛 STARTING OFF BOOK WEEK WITH THE VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR! 🐛🎨

Our Encourage children are starting off Book Week by bringing one of their favourite stories, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, to life through art! 💚📖

Before getting started, Miss Annie gathered the children together and asked, “What colours do you think we should use for our caterpillar?” 🌈

The children eagerly shared their ideas, with Miss Annie gathering all of their colour suggestions and making those colours available for the children to use.

Then it was time to get painting! 🎨 Each child created their very own interpretation of the Hungry Caterpillar, using their imagination and the colours they had chosen together.

What a beautiful way to start Book Week taking a much-loved story from the pages of a book and turning it into their own creations! 🥰📚🐛
