Hi all
We at Modern Taxidermy have been serving the industry just shy of 30 years. Like all, goods things, it has come to an end( retirement) or at present slowing down lol. We have closed our doors but would love to thank all our past clients , suppliers and friends in the business. It’s a sad day but we have learnt so much not to mention the great friends we have made. So from us to you all, Thankyou.

For the last 7 years we started selling and manufacturing forms for the industry . It eventually grew to a great clientele with Gary Pegg also adding a range of his forms to our supply.

Now for the good news!

Will and Crystal Platell from Riverligh Taxidermy have officially taken over our business. So to all our valued clients I hope you show will and crystal the same support that you have given us. Will has some great plans and I whish him all the best and to watch what I started ,to grow, even more is a dream come true.

Also to all current clients there will be a delay whilst we transfer the Business over - this may take some time but I’m sure Will, will announce when getting closer to completion.

Again thanks everyone you will be missed

Hi all
We are ecstatic to be invited to attend the AusAWA Taxidermy Championship on Sat 10th & 11th June 2023. Therefore will have a stall there.

We will have a limited amount of FORMS for sale and on display.

The stall will be managed by my colleague, who is a good friend who also is a Taxidermist and Tanner.

To show our support for the Association, there will be a 10 percent discount for the weekend ONLY at the Venue. All Sales are to be cash only (or bank transfer can be arranged) chat to Will.

Also don’t be afraid to have a chat to him in regards to cape tanning , which he offers with great prices and whom I highly recommend. So stop by say hi and have a chat .

To all those Competitors learn heaps but most importantly have fun it’s a great weekend.

CAMEL HUNTS - August 2023 - TIME TO BOOK BEFORE YOU MISS OUT

A 4 day fully guided Hunt for ONE bull Camel $3500, all-inclusive Meat animals can be added. Pigs and wild dogs may be taken for FREE if accounted on the hunt. Will only hunt a limited number of hunts in August with 9 spots available as this time the day temps will push to 30 degrees and cooler nights making it quite comfortable. Also, it is the rut for the bulls at this time. Caliber: I personally would recommend 308 upwards for a well-placed shot and distances up to 300 meters will be common in open country and a lot closer in the channel country which would suit bow hunters. Hunting method - animals are found by vehicles, as the area is so vast and being so nomadic, camels can cover a lot of ground and once found, we find a spot and stalk method is required. We mainly only target old mature bulls than can reach to the age of 60 years old. Now recognised as a Game Trophy largely due to their impressive alien looking skulls with impressive canines only found in mature bulls. Cleaning, shipping of skulls and capes can be arranged and even the Taxidermy work if required.
