Bruising behind the ear, known as Battle Sign, can be a warning sign of a serious skull injury and may appear hours or even a day later.

That’s why it’s important to keep watching your child after a head injury, even if they seem completely fine at first.

If you notice unusual bruising behind the ear after a head injury, seek urgent medical attention.
