Students from all ages at one of Dukes Education leading International Schools Verbier International School showed great ambition, engaged in our Changemaker Program electing Student Agency and Future Ready Education as their primary Focus.

During my multi-day Residency they created their own projects, which will evolve in their classroom as ongoing engagements with teachers and their community across curriculum.

We enjoyed connecting this International Alpine School located in Switzerland with marine ocean ecosystems and creating a bridge for hands on experience in Greece and other places with our Elite Changemaker Travel Program to restore and re-evaluate existing core ecosystems. Finding purpose happens in a moment of being completely immersed in a new adventure.

Spending two incredible days with the Elementary and Secondary students at Verbier International School was incredible! 🌎

Working with our youngest learners in Elementary was so special. It brought me right back to when I started this journey at age 11.
We talked about true global citizenship and student agency, not as textbook concepts, but as real action. Together, we brainstormed how they can transform their school community by replacing single-use coffee cups with 100% reusable mugs for parents, teachers, and secondary students, with the dream of taking that impact right out into Verbier!

Sharing my journey through the films my mother and filmmaker, Karin Ecker, has captured since I was a child, from sea turtles and the Great Barrier Reef to the Danube River, reminded me why we do this.

True agency starts from within.
Seeing those elementary students spark with brilliant ideas showed me that you are never too young to lead the change. 🌍🌊
