Sea turtles, like this little Green (๐๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ญ๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ช๐ข ๐ฎ๐บ๐ฅ๐ข๐ด), are Reptiles with fully functioning lungs - they need to come to the surface to breath air, just like us.
This is why it is so important to leave plenty of space when you meet one in the water, at least 2-3 meters, and never swim on top of them - this way, they have all the necessary space to be able to get to the surface.
Always be mindful of your interactions with these amazing animals!
