If you feel called to go deeper in 2026, I’m offering 20% off private lessons and packages with the code YUXIBU. This also applies to Monique’s charango lessons. This discount is available until December 31.

In a few weeks we start teaching again, and we’ll also offer a new possibility. Half your lessons on charango and half on guitar, so you can learn the same song on both instruments, expand your flexibility, and grow your repertoire across different sounds.

Every lesson is crafted specifically for you. We begin with a conversation to set your intentions, then we choose songs that support your growth and your connection with music. In every class you receive videos recorded specifically for you, organized in your own Padlet space, so everything is clear and easy to revisit.

From the depth of my heart, thank you for making this community possible. See you in 2026.

To welcome 2026, I’m leaving you with a gift.

Beyond Sounds has a library of online lessons to learn medicine songs, and these lessons are not only about repertoire. They are designed to help you learn how to learn songs, building foundations in rhythm, melody, and harmony so your learning becomes easier and more natural.

My gift to you is free access to any online program with the code WELCOME2026.

And I’m very happy to share a milestone for our community. We received a thumbs up from one of the maestros and reference points of medicine music, K**e Pinto, and he said yes to being our first guest for 2026. In February he’ll be joining Beyond Sounds to share about sacred songs, icaros, songs in ceremony, and his approach to charango and guitar. I’ll create a poll so we can vote on which of his songs we want to learn together.

And it’s happening again. The ending of another year.

Around this time I receive the reports from YouTube, Podia, Beyond Sounds, and the booking platforms… and I just feel grateful. This year around 750,000 people watched the videos, and I taught over 400 lessons for people learning medicine songs with curiosity, devotion, and openness.

Our WhatsApp community has grown to over 400 people, and we recorded more than 20 live sessions this year, including singing circles and masterclasses. None of this would exist without your presence, your support, and the way you keep showing up.

2025 also brought big expansions. I was invited to play at a retreat in Costa Rica, then to run singing circles and events in New Zealand, and I also organized a retreat in Bali. All things I didn’t imagine were possible until they happened.

From the depth of my heart, thank you for making this year a reality.

Just uploaded the full recording of our latest medicine music workshop, where we stayed with one song, Con mi tabaco by Alonso del Río, and took time to learn it slowly.

We went into the melody, chords, fingerpicking, strumming, transposing, and how to approach a song not just technically, but with presence and care. It wasn’t about getting it perfect, it was about listening, experimenting, and connecting.

What we covered:
• Guitar and vocal guidance step by step
• Playing the song in A minor and D minor
• Fingerpicking and strumming variations
• Rhythm, phrasing, and transposing
• Reflections on learning, presence, and holding space with music

If you find these sessions helpful, or feel they’re supporting your journey with music, I’d love to invite you to become part of the Beyond Sounds community. Supporting this project helps it grow, reach more people, and keep meaningful music alive and moving through the world.

Ever feel like letting go of words and diving into the pure language of sound? I recently discovered that sometimes it's all about dropping the lyrics and letting your emotions take over through music. Different combinations of chords, intricate finger pickings, and varied time signatures create unique sensations that speak directly to the heart. Embrace the process and allow the sound to express exactly how you feel.
By doing this, you're building a personal library of sensations that not only enriches your own experience but also helps others connect on a deeper level. The key is to feel it first.
I invite you to join our next online singing circle, where we come together to explore and share this beautiful language of music. Check the link in the BIO for more information and to join us. I can't wait to hear how you feel through your sound.

In the depths of the Amazon rainforest, I became a listener, drawn by the ancient songlines of the Huni Kuin tribe. Each leaf whispers a story, each song carries the weight of generations. This was more than a journey through geography—it was a journey of spirit, exploring the connection between music, ceremony, and the natural world.
For the Huni Kuin, songs are medicine—bridges to unseen realms and calls to remember. These moments, from vibrant ceremonies to quiet reflections, are part of a series of videos I’m sharing weekly.
The frames in this post are just a glimpse. If they resonate with you, watch the full video and join this ongoing journey of discovery.
