🏐 SSWA High School Cup | Elimination Carnival 🏐
On Tuesday 11 August, our Year 8 and Year 10 Netball Specialist teams took to the court for the second round of the SSWA High School Cup Netball Carnival, the Elimination Carnival.
Both teams entered the day undefeated after an outstanding first round, so the competition was always going to be fierce. After the pool rounds, both teams finished third in their respective pools and faced second-placed teams in their first crossover games.
Unfortunately, both teams were knocked out in their second crossover games, but they have so much to be proud of.
💙 Year 8s
Our Year 8s faced a very strong opponent and went down by just a few goals. While the result wasn't what we hoped for, their growth over the past two years has been incredible. Watching this group develop their skills, confidence and connection as a team has been one of the highlights of our program. We cannot wait to see where the next few years take you!
💙 Year 10s
Our Year 10s, the leaders of our Netball Specialist program, left absolutely everything on the court. Their final game was an incredible battle, with the team going down by just ONE goal. Heartbroken is an understatement, but proud doesn't even begin to describe how we feel about you.
A huge thank you to all of our supporters who came down to watch, encourage and cheer on our students throughout the day. We are incredibly lucky to have such an amazing support crew on our sidelines. Your encouragement does not go unnoticed!
While the results may not have been what we were hoping for, both teams should be incredibly proud of what they achieved. They fought, competed, supported each other and never gave up!
