We are incredibly proud of our choir’s performance at The Spirit of the Arts, where they performed Mary Did You Know? and Warrior.

Warrior, introduced at One Big Voice in 2024, has been a favourite of our school and choir ever since. The students worked incredibly hard perfecting the harmonies and brought so much passion and emotion to their performance, even bringing a few audience members to tears!

We were thrilled to receive an Outstanding, the highest award possible! A huge congratulations to our four amazing soloists, who each did a fantastic job.

We are so proud of our choir and can’t wait for the next opportunity to sing together!

Our Year 12 Hospitality students spent the afternoon getting hands-on with some exciting new equipment for our Hospitality program!

Students worked together to set up our new till and point-of-sale, exploring the software, creating the ordering system and learning how everything works behind the scenes.

After an afternoon of setting up, testing and problem-solving, they're now ready to put it all into action this week!

Well done to our Year 12 Hospitality students for taking ownership of the setup and figuring it all out together.

Last week, Lisa Thomas and Christy Thomas took a group of First Nations students to Curtin University for a day filled with learning, discovery, and fun. Students participated in a deadly coding workshop, where they learned how technology can support sustainable agricultural practices and solve real-world challenges.

They also explored a vegetation project focused on nature corridors and ways to help our native wildlife move safely through urban areas. These hands-on experiences encouraged students to think about how science and innovation can create positive environmental outcomes.

One of the highlights was experiencing university life firsthand by sitting in Curtin's lecture theatre, just like university students. There was also plenty of excitement as students spun the prize wheel and won a variety of prizes.

The day provided students with valuable information about future pathways, including opportunities in Aboriginal Studies and other university programs. It was an inspiring experience that opened students' eyes to the many possibilities available through higher education.

Hi,

We're asking Peel schools to help us get a free local opportunity in front of young people and their families.

GoSHackathon is happening this Saturday, 29 August at Mandurah Catholic College, and this year, young people will be working alongside Reachy AI robots as part of their mentor team.

GoSHackathon is a free, out-of-school innovation challenge for young people across the Peel region. Participants form teams, choose a problem they care about and spend the day developing an innovative solution with support from mentors, industry and technology.

Importantly, students do not need coding experience, STEM experience or an existing idea to participate. We want the creative kids, the makers, the problem-solvers, the big thinkers and the quiet tinkerers in the room too.

Participation is completely free.

Last night, Year 12 student Grace received the top honour at the Angelico Arts Exhibition, winning the Fra Angelico Award for her artwork Komorebi.

The exhibition showcases hundreds of artworks from Catholic schools across Western Australia, making Grace's achievement particularly special.

The Fra Angelico Award recognises an artwork that embraces and upholds Catholic beliefs and values. Komorebi, meaning "sunlight filtering through the trees," beautifully reflects these values through Grace's artistic vision.

A wonderful achievement and recognition of Grace's creativity and hard work.
