What a morning 💚

To mark Australia’s very first Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Day, we hosted a small community gathering at Origins Market Busselton — and it did exactly what I hoped it would.

Some people came to learn more about MHFA. Others had done the course before and were keen to reconnect. One person turned up quietly, looking for community — and left with a smile, and a few new faces to say hi to.

We had:
✅ MHFAiders meeting and connecting
✅ Curious minds asking great questions
✅ Some great conversations over coffee — and a little 'Getting to Know You Bingo' (yes, I made them play games!) 😄

People left with information and connection — and that’s what it was all about.

🟢 Suzie and I are now planning to run an MHFA course — so if you’re interested in learning more, reach out and we’ll keep you in the loop!

Huge thanks to the local legends who supported me:
💚 Origins Market Busselton (and Candice for all her help!)
💚 MenAble INC for shouting the first 10 coffees
💚 Bendigo Community Bank Busselton and Dunsborough (thanks Cassie!) for printing our flyers

And to everyone who came along, or shared the event — thank you. Truly.

Let’s keep making every conversation matter 💬

What a welcoming crew!

Thanks to David Barton for the invite to join yesterday’s Man Walk Busselton at the jetty. It was an opportunity to share a few words about Mental Health First Aid — what it is, how it helps, and how we can all make conversations around mental health a bit easier.

We’re keeping the conversation going this Friday 22nd August at Origins Market, 10.30am–12 noon, with a relaxed gathering for Mental Health First Aid Day.

Big thanks to MenAble INC for getting behind it and shouting the first 10 coffees at the event. That’s community. 💚

☕ You bring the coffee, we’ll bring the conversation.
(Or let MenAble buy your first one!) Thanks guys! 💚

🗣 Mental Health First Aid Day is coming to Busselton — and you’re invited.

I’m getting behind this as a local Mental Health First Aider and advocate — because the more we normalise these conversations, the easier it becomes to ask for help or offer support.

We’re hosting a simple community gathering at Origins Market next Friday 22 August, and you’re welcome to drop in and say hi 👋.

It’s relaxed, local, and built on one powerful idea:
👉 Make Every Conversation Matter.

Whether you’ve done MHFA, are curious about it, or just want to chat with a friendly face — this is for you.

☕ You bring the coffee, we’ll bring the conversation.

🗓 Friday 22 August
⏰ 10.30am–12noon

Big thanks to Origins Market Busselton for hosting us in their cozy space, and to Bendigo Community Bank Busselton and Dunsborough for supporting with flyer printing to help spread the word.

📢 Know someone who might be interested? Please share this with your local network — it’s one way to help make Mental Health First Aid a familiar part of community life.

💚 Hope to see you there!

Thinking about going back to work, but not sure where to begin?
Or maybe you’re ready for a career change — but feel stuck?
You don’t need all the answers yet — that’s what career coaching is for.

Whether you’re:
• Returning to work after time away
• Considering a career change
• Supporting your teen as they explore study, career and life options

Career coaching offers a practical, tailored, and collaborative approach.

This isn’t a CV-writing service — it’s a process where we work together to explore your direction and build your confidence to present yourself for the roles you actually want.

Together, we explore strengths, transferable skills and values. We uncover what’s getting in the way and help shape a path forward that feels right for you — with clarity, confidence and purpose.

You don’t need to have all the answers — just a willingness to explore.

Not sure where to start? That’s a great place to begin.

Does it feel like christmas to you?

Nope.

Me neither, to me it doesn't feel like christmas until the decorations are up. But for some reason I'm not feeling it this year.

If that tree falls I think you'll feel it. 😂💚
