A new class is starting on Thursday the 6th of February. It starts st 9.15 and is held at Sabina Vale which is just past Georgiana Molloy School. Benefits of music to a babies development has been well documented and this program offers a secure, unpressured and fun opportunity to allow your baby to grow and develop. It is special time to bond with your baby and the parent is well supported and guided to allow for a calm , happy learning environment. Unique to this program is turn taking and mixed ages from newborn to approximately 3 years of age. The babies teach gentleness and the older little ones develop confidence and self esteem in the class . One of the many significant goals is to develop listening ,as this is the key to setting a child up for success when they begin formal education . Please call on 0408082158 to chat or register your interest.

Busselton baby music has places available on Fridays . Classes start at 9.15 and finish at 10.15 . Please ring on 0408 082 158 as Internet is very slow . I'm happy to chat on the way the classes are run if you would like to know more.
One of our concepts is children learn from one another . As you can see from the photo there is an older and younger little one . We have mixed ages as the older children show the way to the younger babies and the babies teach gentleness and sensitivity . This activity is P***y cat P***y cat . The group keeps a steady best to the rhyme and children are given turns to put the mouse under the chair . The queen is sitting on the chair .
Again I would be delighted to chat and mothers groups are welcome to come for a complimentry demonstration class on Wednesday mornings .

Welcome back to all our parents and little ones for 2017 . A special welcome to our new members . It was so nice to see everyone and amazing to note how much they had all grown in the break .
Ability Develops Early is our concept this week . We are born with a natural ability to learn and it is the earliest stages of infancy that there is huge potential to develop ability .
Our books this week were Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and a book by Mem Fox called Time For Bed . Read 3 books a day to your little one ... A favourite, a familiar and a new one .
Our practice piece this week is Hickory Dickory Dock. Special actions starting on their knees and tapping their nose for "the clock struck one" will give you many gorgeous smiles this week .
Remember parents sing to your little one . Your voice is the most powerful instrument to your child . Have fun together as music is the pathway to all learning .
With love to everyone .. Sheryl .

Busselton baby music is offering term I at half price on Thursdays to the first 4 parents with a baby to a little aged up to approx 14 months that rings on 0408 082 . Including new born .
Babies support the class environment as it encourages gentleness and sensitivity . It also develops self esteem in the toddlers as they " show the way to the babies ".Developing listening early is the key to early speech and early reading . It lays the foundations for all later learning as well as music . Listening develops memory , focus and concentration allowing your child to be at an advantage when they go to school. Suzuki music classes are run with 2 teachers allowing for a calm , unpressured, fun filled learning environment . All equipment is supplied and of a high quality as we want your little ones to hear the best quality sound . .

The feathers are a favourite activity that is saved for week 5,the last week of term and graduation . One feather is floated down to each little one as the music to Pachelbels Canon is playing and as the momentum of the music grows the feathers are floated down with more and more abundance .
There is so much joy and calm as the mother and baby play together.
Parents are involved in every activity. It is a wonderful bonding opportunity and a chance to have one on one time with your little one.
"An unlimited amount of ability can develop when parent and child are having fun together"

This week we have a child graduating from baby music. It is often the culmination and celebration of 3 years of attending weekly classes . The child is invited over to keep a steady beat on the tulip woodblock to the nursery rhyme Hickety Pickety My Black Hen.
The rest of the class joins in by keeping the beat on their knees. The teacher is close by to support the child. The performance is followed by a bow and the presentation of a graduation certificate. We go on and complete the class and on this special occasion follow the class with a shared morning tea.
Graduation entitles the child to join the Twinlkling Star class. This offers opportunities to explore the keyboard ,learn some fingers plays and eventually play them independently.
We then have some fun with percussion instruments and complete the class with a story. There can be up to 5 graduates in this group as we know children learn the most by group playing.
When the child is ready (approx 3 to 4) , they can begin piano lessons with the Suzuki Method which follows the mother tongue approach of ear before eye.
