Staff Spotlight – Shining a Light on SCCC
Meet Our Amazing Staff and Their Stories.
Say hello to Brooke, our vibrant and passionate Gadigal House Leader at SCCC. Brooke has been shaping young minds since 2012 though she’ll be the first to tell you she’s been “teaching since she was five” as the eldest of six children.
At the College, Brooke teaches Year 10 English and Year 11 & 12 English Studies, bringing her trademark energy, humour, and wholehearted enthusiasm to every lesson.
Brooke believes deeply in living life with passion. Whether it’s teaching, leading, or trying something new, she’s all in. Her advice to students reflects that spirit: “It’s never too late to start again or to try something different.”
When she’s not at SCCC, you’ll likely find Brooke, immersed in a novel, opshopping for hidden treasures, spoiling her three nephews born in 2024 (“Aunty Brooke doesn’t say no”) or experimenting with crafts, she is currently in her crochet era
And yes, she even has a sourdough starter named Doughbi Wan Kenobi.
Plus she has a fun connection to our community: Brooke’s little sister is actually an SCCC alumni, graduating around 2013.
We’re so lucky to have Brooke’s warmth, wit, and wholehearted dedication as part of our SCCC family.
