Are you a parent in regional or rural Australia?

Participate in a Deakin University research study comparing two online programs designed to support parent wellbeing.

You may be eligible if you:
✅ Live in regional or rural Australia.
✅ Have at least one child aged 0–12 years.
✅ Share parenting with another co-parent (a partner, ex-partner or anyone who helps raise your kid/s).

What's involved?
🤝 Participate with at least one co-parent.
💻 Receive one of two online parent wellbeing programs.
📝 Complete three online surveys over six months.

Has your child been distressed about attending school?

We are inviting autistic students with intellectual disability and parents/carers to participate in a research study to share their experiences of emotionally related school attendance challenges so we can better understand and support these students.

🔵Who is eligible?

Parents/carers whose child:
- is 5 to 18 years old
- is autistic and has an intellectual disability
- has experienced emotionally related school attendance challenges within the last 2 years.

Students who:
- are 5 to 18 years old
- are autistic and have an intellectual disability
- have experienced emotionally related school attendance challenges within the last 2 years
- are able to understand simple verbal instructions and symbols
- are able to express themselves and their preferences through short sentences (verbally or with AAC)

🔵What's involved?

For parent/carer participation:
- A face-to-face or video call interview (30–45 minutes)

For combined parent/carer and child participation:
- Initial screening call with you and your child (if participating)
- A brief face-to-face interview with your child (using a special method, “Talking Mats”, that supports young people to express their perspectives)
-A face-to-face or video call interview (30–45 minutes)
