VALEDICTORY 2026 //

It was a special evening of reflection, celebration and gratitude as we farewelled the Class of 2026 at their Valedictory celebration last Thursday.

The evening began with the Valedictory Mass in the Centenary Chapel, where students and their families gathered to reflect on the journey of this wonderful cohort and look ahead with hope and confidence for the future.

Celebrations then continued in the John Fahey Centre, beautifully transformed into a Peter Rabbit-inspired setting thanks to the incredible efforts of a dedicated committee of parents. A heartfelt thank you to all those who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to create such a memorable evening.

Guests enjoyed a delicious three-course meal prepared by Chef Rochelle Adonis and her team before taking to the dance floor to celebrate, laugh and make more lasting memories together.

As our graduates prepare for their upcoming HSC examinations and the exciting opportunities beyond, we wish them every success and every blessing for the future. We look forward to seeing the many ways the Class of 2026 will continue to 'Open the door to the MSC core' and make their mark on the world beyond Chevalier.

GRADUATING CLASS OF 2026 //

As your journey at Chevalier College comes to an end, it is fitting to pause and reflect on the remarkable young people you have become.

What has always stood out about the Class of 2026 is not simply what you achieved, but the way you grew together. Over the years, we watched students step forward, find their voice, share their gifts, and become a cohort known for its courage, generosity and authenticity. Many who once preferred the background became leaders, not through titles or recognition, but through quiet encouragement, compassion and service to others.

In a year themed Open the Door to the MSC Core, you showed our community what that truly looks like. You listened, supported one another, embraced opportunities and left Chevalier better than you found it.

As you step beyond the garden gate and into whatever comes next, may you carry with you the values of the Sacred Heart, the friendships you've built, and the confidence to know that even the smallest act of kindness can change the world.

Congratulations, Class of 2026. We are proud of all you have achieved, but even more proud of the people you have become. You will always be part of the story of Chev, and Chev will always be part of yours.

Thank you to the following award sponsors for their generosity:

- Defence Australia for the ADF Long Tan Youth Leadership Award
- Gubbins Pulbrook Mitre 10, Southern Highlands for the Gubbins Pulbrook Mitre 10 Prize for Excellence in Construction
- Our Lawyers Mittagong for the Our Lawyers Award for Outstanding Achievement in Legal Studies

EXTRACURRICULAR AWARDS EVENING //

It was a pleasure to celebrate the achievements of more than 200 students at our annual Extracurricular Awards Evening last week, recognising their contributions and success in extracurricular activities throughout the year.

Students received awards across a wide range of activities, including sport, music, show team, debating, mock trial and the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.

It was also encouraging to see so many Bars presented. Worn by senior students on their blazer, a Bar represents a high level of recognition in a particular extracurricular area. Recipients have often demonstrated years of commitment and/or exceptional skill.

Guests were also treated to wonderful performances by the Guitar Ensemble and a solo by Evie B, whose talents added to the celebratory atmosphere of the evening.

Congratulations to all award recipients, and thank you to Coach Phillips and team, for all their efforts.
