The Children's Book Council of Australia Book Week is in full swing! This year the theme is 'Symphony of Stories'. We kicked off last week by hosting a performance by 'Bring Me Magic'. This week a variety of activities for students are on offer in the Burra Community Library around the Symphony of Stories theme. Including 'Guess the Winning Book', 'Student Open Microphone', 'Design a Book Cover' , 'Add Your Favourite Song to a Playlist' and 'Match the Teacher to the Song'. Stay tuned for the Book Week street parade on Friday 28th to see the students in their costumes!

New arrivals! Library staff recommend 'The Things We Never Say" and 'Theo of Golden'. Looking forward to reading 'Calamity Club' by Kathryn Stockett author of 'The Help'
